Smackdown: HCTP help

Okay, I was reading about how you can use a regular WWE superstar to get attribute points and use it on a wrestler you created. I've been playing for about 3 seasons with Batista, racking in many attribute points. But I can't put it on my custom wrestler. Can anyone help here? :)

I am not aware that you are able to transfer points from one wrestler to another, but what you can do is to just play through season mode a couple of times with a created wrestler to get his stats up to what you want, than you could copy that wrestler, edit them into a completly diffrent wrestler while keeping the stat points, than save it as another wrestler.

from games.ign.com:

Hint: Build Up Your Custom Wrestler Easily
You don't have to use your custom wrestler (from Create a Wrestler) in the Season mode to strengthen his stats. You can just use a regular WWE wrestler in the season to accumulate attribute points, and then you can use those points later on to edit your custom wrestler. This will save you the trouble of using a weak custom wrestler in the season mode.

I've seen this on many of sites I've looked at for hints, and it might not be true, I'm not sure. Does anyone know if this works, and if so how to do it?

<font color=teal>I've seen it mentioned on a few sites, but they never say how to do it.</font>

Yeah, it might require a gameshark or something in order to do it, I'm not sure...

Maybe you could just go through a few seasons with a regular wrestler and not use the gained attribute points and they will still be there when you start a new season with the CAW.

i tried it already, unfortunately it didn't work. :(

Than that code is bullshit. IGN doesn't check all the stuff sent to them, I have seen a lot of bullshit codes and cheats on the site.

Soulz 01-04-2004 01:07 AM

Well, I've also checked other sites and it has the same cheat, yet it's the same wording on every site, so maybe it really doesn't work, I'm not really sure...

thebitch 01-04-2004 10:00 AM

Yeah, that code is bullshit. I haven't found a decent code for that game outside of using a gameshark.

Also, there is a HCTP thread, not half way down the page. Please use that.

Isn't this like, the 6th thread for HCTP?

thebitch 01-04-2004 05:43 PM

8th

You've been had.

Likely, it got reported on IGN, and other people knicked it. This adds credibility to the rumour, because it originated elsewhere. However, it's still a rumour, a false "trick."

Meanwhile, if you could just use the Smackdown thread and keep the board free of clutter, we'd appreciate it.
