The Official WWE firing rampage thread...
What do you think is the purpose behind it. The WWE has fired 10 superstars this past week.
Do you think Heat will actually be a show for upper to mid carders now?? Like a shorter version of RAW. What do you think of all this madness?? |
Do we really need another thread on the firings...?
|
Why don't we just get an official thread? Because at this rate, I don't see it letting up, atleast until we're out of low carders...
|
HHH really is holding everything down.
Seriously, if they release Molly, I'm going to be fucking pissed and will never watch WWE again. :n: |

All the people they fired aren't important. They were just wasting money. So I'm glad they fired them.
|
Maybe it's just me, but I think some of these releases are a good thing. It's not like the WWE were using half of them for anything of importance anyway. They were just deadwood on the roster. At least now they'll have opportunities to perform elsewhere. They won't get paid sh</>it for it, but at least they'll have that opportunity. What's the point in keeping them around if you're not going to use them?
Off the top of my head, the firings went something like... Billy Gunn Test Rico Rodney Mack Jazz Gail Kim Nidia Chuck Palumbo Johnny Stamboli A-Train Now, take a second and look at that list. Were ANY of those superstars really doing anything worthwhile? Do you think that there has ever been anyone who has watched a show or paid money to get into a show based on the sole fact that any of those workers were going to be there? I'm thinking not. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying they all suck. In fact, I like most of the people that were released. However, the fact of the matter is that the WWE is a business, and releasing these workers was probably a good business move. I don't think the WWE's stock is going to drop a single iota because of the loss of any of them. You know, it's almost funny to me. Remember those threads about "HOO SHULD B FIRRED N THA WWE LOLZ?@??@"? Well, most of these people seemed to be on most of those lists. Can the WWE do any right in anyone's eyes? |
As much as i'm for the idea of spending more money on developmential talent, it's kinda harsh that the WWE is just leaving these guys without jobs. Some will get picked up by TNA, but not all.
Also, they way the let Test go was just wrong. |
I don't think Rico should have been released, but here are some people who should be -
Rosey Steven Richards Scotty Too Hotty Hardcore Holly Akio |

The only superstar on that list that was worthwhile was Rico. Fans were just beggining to like him and he was getting recognition. I wish they gave Rico a chance. Rico would have been a huge star if he was used right....
|
No, because he now has no income while he is unable to work. Who's to blame for that?

I don't feel sorry for them cause they lost their jobs. The Test case is a little different... I don't think they should have released him while injured... On the flip side, you can't fault the WWE that he was living check to check from the way they described it. |

I do think TNA is licking their chops right now and will wait it out to see who else goes and then sign who they want, rather then jumping ahead and signing people before they see who else goes. Any chance this is all just a major "work" to bring back Heyman w/ an invasion angle? or start up another fed, owned by the WWE but run under a different label? |
Keeping Hardcore Holly on the active roster is just wrong
|
It's sad, I was most devastated by Rico's firing.

who would they be working? "The smarks"? The casual fan would be like "wtf" if they started an angle like that. It's real and it's the smartest business move(s) WWE has done in a long while. |
Rico :(
Hot dang Vince is on a Spring Clean. I wouldnt be suprised if i come on here tomorrow to read everybody except Triple H and Hardcore Holly released. Also The SVR game hasnt arrived at the UK yet but now we have 4 people in that game who arent even in the company anymore :o |
This is my first post in the wrestling forum in ages.
Jesus, what the holy hell is going on??! Nidia and Gail Kim being released pisses me off for whatever reason. I can understand it though considering the women's division is just OVERFLOWING with talent. And don't even get me started on the guys who have been released. |
^^LMAO. WHAT THE HELL? You don't even watch anymore. What do you care?
|
Just found out that 2 more guys are going soon. Let's take bets. You have to get them both right. Winner gets rep from everyone.
1) Akio 2) Scotty 2 Hotty. |
If this were all a work to start a new fed, the fed would have the shi</>ttiest roster in the history of shi</>tty rosters.
|
I say Rikishi and Garrison Cade.
|
I find it stupid how they release all those guys and they sign stupid people like Carlito Cool. :n:
|
Rikishi's was let go, like, three months ago, AT.
|
Keesh has been gone.
|
Just trimming the fat. No harm done.
|
Weird that they'd fire rico seeing as hes only back from an injury. Hes pretty entertaining to watch as well. =/
|
Shows how much SmackDOWN! I've been watching. In that case, Garrison Cade and whoever jobs in the main event of the next episode of HeAt.
|
|
Honestly, if this keeps up they'll have to axe the brand extension.
|
I think Rosey, Bill DeMott, Akio and Nowinski will follow shortly.
