:wtf:
I'm not old enough or american so I have no clue when this was or how it tasted.Anyone know or had these? BTW why does Link look like one of the old Snap,Crackle and Pop guys at the end?

Discuss weird/stupid gaming merchandise here.

MrMeJW 12-16-2004 02:22 AM

I remember that ad... never had the cereal

Tornado 12-16-2004 11:16 AM

lol, Nintendo Cereal System

loopydate 12-16-2004 11:18 AM

Good stuff. I think...

I remember eating it, and I think I liked it. Although, at that point, I liked anything that had a Nintendo logo slapped on it. Hell, I even liked that god-awful SMB3 cartoon (not "Super Show").

Head 12-16-2004 02:20 PM

Yeah, those things kicked ass.

Boondock Saint 12-16-2004 02:47 PM

Yeah I remember having Zelda and Mario cereal. Still recall it tasting damn good too.

Why one of the "old" Snap, Crackle, and Pop guys? They're still around! "Old" are those three chefs who used to be on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch box! Or the Alphabet Wizard! OF Captain Crunch commercials with Soggies!

RoXer 12-16-2004 04:45 PM

I remeber the Nintendo soda. I think I have some old ones lying around in my old attic.

Mario ice cream pops were the goods.

As well as those WWF ice cream bars, with the different wrestlers on the cookie thing in front, with vanilla ice cream behind it, and choclate in the back.

The Mario ones with the gumball eyes? Those ruled.

But WWF Ice cream bars are supreme.

I meant the old look they had. Now, over here anyway, they look diffrent now.
They looks a little like link looks at the end of that commercial but not there CG guys and look diffrent from that.

I'm old enough to remember the theme song for the Nintendo cereal.
It was to the tune of Super Mario Bros Level 1-2

Nintendo, Its for breakfast now
Nintendo, its a cereal WOW!

Loose Cannon 12-25-2004 03:04 PM

lol, yeah I definately had those. Also the wrestling ice cream bars were the best of all-time. It was like an event just to see who got what guy and what card everyone got.

those bars were hard as shit to find in my area. Only Woolworth's seemed to carry them. They were advertised in every WWF magaizine though. Trying to remember who all was on them. Thing it was George the Animal Steele, Hogan, Andre, Randy Savage, Jake the Snake, and Birdman Koko Bware. And at some point Million Dollar Man and Honkey Tonk man also.

Speaking of good snacks with cards inside, anyone remember Turtle Pies. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle version of those Hostess half moon shaped deals. I had like 2 or 3 series of those things and at those for breakfast all the time.
