Oklahoma to Honor J.R. with “Jim Ross Day”
January 20, 2005 By Ed Williams III Maybe it’s the fact that Jim Ross makes his way to the Raw announce booth week in and week out to the sounds of the Oklahoma University fight song, “Boomer Sooner,” that gives it away. Or maybe it’s the trademark black, 200x Resistol hat that he always wears. Regardless of how he shows it, J.R.’s love for Oklahoma is clear. And now his home state has shown that the feeling is mutual. Governor Brad Henry has declared that, as of Monday, Jan. 24 will be known as Jim "J.R.” Ross Day in the state of Oklahoma. Something bad will happen o JR on RAW. When they go to Oklahoma they feel the need to have something happen to JR. Not something good, mind you. My prediction: Muhamed Hassan.
