Favorite Comic Book Movie

X-Men 2 was definitely my favorite comic book film. I regret that I didn't get to see at the cinema since movies always seem a lot more entertaining on the big screen. I like how they explored Wolverine's origin to a certain extent and I thought that it was a lot more action packed. Spiderman 2 is definitely a close second but I didn't like the ending at all since Parker had just told Mary Jane about 30 seconds earlier that he wouldn't be able to go out with her due to the danger. I also liked The Punisher a lot even though the majority of people I know hated it for whatever reason.

Gouda 03-06-2005 01:38 AM

I'm torn between:

- Spiderman 1 + 2.
- Superman 1 + 2.
- Batman + Batman Returns.

I'll say that The Hulk was a really crappy movie though. Liked how Hulk looked though.

Bo 03-06-2005 04:52 AM

Punisher, :y: without a shadow of a doubt.

Funky Fly 03-06-2005 04:53 AM

Captain America.

The Crow
Mystery Men

Spider-man and X-Men are my absolute favourites, and I just loved The Crow and Punisher :y:

Like 20 minutes of extra character developement and stuff that filled in plot holes. A few alternate scenes were used as well.

Sickboy 03-06-2005 11:31 AM

Hellboy or Punisher

Yeah, it's definitely a helluva lot better. I like that they had that extra plot with the black guy.

Batman

Jack Nicholson's Joker is the best movie character ever

Fox 03-06-2005 07:49 PM

Spider-Man 2, without question.

John la Rock 03-07-2005 12:40 AM

I don't know how anybody can like Daredevil

diamondcutter 03-07-2005 02:40 AM

Tough call between X2, Spider-Man 2, and the first Superman. I can never get enough of these on DVD.

What do you mean? I liked it. And I have only seen the theatrical version. I would like to see the director's cut but I'm not sure if a R2 version has been made yet.

I don't know but I hated it. The acting was terrible, the story sucked and the direction was awful. Only Hulk and Punisher are worse than this piece of crap

Apocolyptik1 03-08-2005 04:08 AM

Hulk started off to slow. The "bad guy" in the movie was the Army.

If it was more action packed in the beginning and had a credible villian, the movie could of done a lot better. Eric Bana is the shit and a half, might just be me though.

Punisher was cool.

My favorite was X2. Id say the "best" one ever made was either Hellboy or Spiderman2, but I like X2 more because its the X-men.

My best friend is gay for spiderman though. He has a spider man steering wheel cover and dust mats, along with like 10 posters of him and action figures. Everytime I see him I call him queer.

Boondock Saint 03-08-2005 04:40 AM

I dunno...hard one.

Overall quality movie is either Superman, Batman, Spider-Man 2 or X-Men 2. I just can't decide.

But I'm also in the minority of those who enjoyed DareDevil (and LXG), and I also loved The Punisher. Such a kickass, old school action movie.

Hulk was god awful, and I just couldn't get into Hellboy that much.

Downunder 03-08-2005 07:49 AM

In all seriousness they pretty much all suck - Spiderman was the most overrated pile of shit I've seen in a long time, Superman was just shit, The Punisher was total crap, Batman sucked, Judge Dredd was totally ruined.

Only X-Men and X-Men 2 are actually good movies.

Fignuts 03-08-2005 03:23 PM

The original Batman movie with Adam West is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The worlds leaders changed into differnt colors of sand? A super molecular dust unscrambler?

Also, nothing beats seeing an overweight "dark knight" wearing a labcoat with his utility belt on the outside.

McDoogle 03-08-2005 03:51 PM

Batman 1 was definitly my fav.

BlackDawn2024 03-10-2005 04:43 PM

Hulk was great. That movie gets such a bad rap. I think the problem is so many people are expecting 2 and a half hours of Hulk smashing stuff up. :-\

Favorite of all-time has to be Donner's "Superman". Great, great, great film from beginning to end. It has such charm and beauty. Too bad Singer's won't.(I had to)

:y:

The show is even better.

Gouda 03-10-2005 05:04 PM

Batman: Who knows, Robin? This strange mixing of minds may be the greatest single service ever performed for humanity! Let's go, but, inconspicuously, through the window. We'll use our Batropes. Our job is finished.

------

Batman: [reading a riddle] What has yellow skin and writes?
Robin: A ball-point bananna!
Batman: [reads the second riddle] What people are always in a hurry?
Robin: Rushing people... Russians!
Batman: So this means...
Robin: A Russian is going to slip on a banana and hurt himself!
Batman: Precisely, Robin!

McDoogle 03-10-2005 06:19 PM

Adam West was and still is the man.

I don't like that Singer is using Donner's work instead of starting fresh.

Nowhere Man 03-12-2005 02:08 AM

Spider-Man 1 & 2
The Crow
Road To Perdition
X-Men 1 & 2
The Punisher (the old Dolph Lungren version)

And I'm really looking forward to Batman Begins, and Superman Returns.

Mr. Nerfect 03-12-2005 04:51 AM

Spider-Man 2 was the first, and to this day the only movie I ever saw twice at the cinema. I didn't think it was perfect or anything, but it was a fun enough experience to get me to go with two seperate sets of friends and watch it.

I liked Hellboy as well. There was just something about it that got me into the story.

I haven't been following its developement, but I hope Sin City surpasses both of them. The trailer was awesome, and I think the movie might fall into that category as well. :y:
