As many people know the Doom movie is underway now or atleast has been filming for a while now...and yes it does star The Rock. Well I was reading on the net that there is no hell in this movie and that is all the info that I could find....but I did find this pic from the movie.

Yeah, it has no hell and is not set on Mars or something.

What? I suppose the whole no hell thing is passable, but not on Mars? They may as well call it "Generic Sci-fi Action Movie" because it sure as hell isn't doom.

hmmm i wasnever really into the Doom games. I mean I played just cause it was one of the most gory games of it's time and it ws fun shooting assholes but back then I prefered 3rd person action rather first person shooter. Aaaanyway. Whats the real story aboot?

there is no chance of this movie not sucking.

I remember hearing originally it was going to be PG-13, which, for Doom, would blow ass. But recently read in an interview with The Rock that it is going to be a hard, gritty R, which is at least some good news for this. Anything but R would definitely suck.

For some reason I dont see this bring a horror movie.....i see it gory tons of things dead movie but not as scary as the game. I just cant take The Rock seriously in a horror movie role. Sorta like Will Smith

I think he'll probably play the role like that black commander guy in Resident Evil.

I haven't really played much Doom, but they HAVE to use either Mars as the setting, or use the Hell storyline.

I see this as a gory action/horror film, and hopefully The Rock can pull his character off. I think this will be better than most people think it will be, but it could very easily go wrong.

I've never played doom or know anything about it, so it will probably be a generic sci-fi action movie to me anyway. But I'm a sad mark so I'll watch it for The Rock.

me too, I'm a sad Rock mark, although I've played Doom and Doom 2 religiosly back in the day. I still don't know the storyline behind Doom. I know he shoots weird aliens with wicked ass guns, but that'a about it
