My reaction: I can't believe they made him tap out especially after Bret had him in that sharpshooter for ages and he didn't tap. If he had passed out from the pain it would have looked better in my eyes.

I wanted Angle to win, but watching Shawn struggling to get out, I almost wanted him to get free.

Yeah, I was expecting the old cliche to come out again and have the face win clean style with a sweet chin music. Trouble is, i don't really like HBK, but I :heart: Angle.

it took fucking forever. And all that headlock shit at the start really pissed me off.

Agreed, that really got on my nerves. Seriously tainted the match with that 5 minute headlock bullshit.

I was rolling on the ground in front of the tv telling TAP TAP TAP TAP. then when he did i was like YES! then after a bit im like fuck.. i like hbk :(

I voted yes on Angle winning. I'm a big fan of both Shawn and Kurt. But I'm a little bigger fan of Kurt since I got a chance to meet him. But it was a great match all around, even if the headlock stuff did get a little boring.

I wanted HBK to win, but I knew the WWE would pull the old "Let's give the heel the win but make it look like the face didn't want to give up" kind of thing. I hate when they use that lame ass ending.

I expected HBK to win by a quick pin by a roll-up kinda like how Benoit beat Edge last night.Gald they had Kurt make Shawn tap.

I actually missed the tap because it was fast, but I was hoping he would of passed out, while bleeding in the Ankle Lock...

Also, Shawn tapped last year to Benoit at Backlash, to his sharpshooter.

I felt neither of those options. I didn't care who won and I just respected how great the match was.

Way to spoil it for people who haven't yet seen it.

I knew Angle would win, but I was hoping HBK would. When he *finally* tapped I was just like "Damn" in a calm voice and gave a little round of applause for the efforts of both men.

I was glad to see Angle win but I hated to see the match end because that match was fucking special, I didnt want it to stop.

^ ya dido it was SOOOO good. I liked how it was booked as a Raw vs Smackdown match having Raw's best guy against Smackdown's best guy

as for the question, I was more surprised than anything when HBK tapped. I thought he would pass out or reserve it into a pin. Great finish
