What's a good site for Windows Media Player codecs :@
Just annoying, because on some of my por- I mean erm videos, they have no sound, but it like tries to connect and download a codec each time I open the file but ends up getting an error, i'd like to know what codec to get to make the sound work but I have no idea what I need :'(
Anyone ever fixed this? |
If it's an *.avi, then you most likely need the XVid codec.
Though I can only get it to work with some movies, others just don't play at all :o |

hmmm, well one of the files that does this error (the only one i can find right now) is an mpg, so i dunno if its that xvid thing.
the thumbnail doesnt show up in XP either, so i'm thinking perhaps the file has been renamed to the wrong extension :o |
Videos that have been encoded with Xvid are always avi's (to my knowledge).
And I don't think there's an mpg anywhere that won't work in WMP :-\ |
Google > Winamp
Google > All in one video codec |
