Are these real???
Okay, so I've got a few autographs that I attained in person, but I'd like to build up my collection. I found a store on eBay selling a whole bunch of autographs, but do you think they're real.....

I don't really see the point in buying an autograph. It's part of the experience of actually meeting the wrestler in person and then when you look back at the autogragh you'll remember you're experience of meeting him/her. Why not just wait until the WWE comes back to your area and go to an autogragh session or something. Lot more fun.

I know what you mean, but what about the guys who are retired? That's why I'm wondering if anyone thinks these autographs could be real.
|
They could be fake. Anything could be fake. Like I've said, someone could take a dollar bill, sign it 'George Washington', and throw in a certificate of authenticity. It doesn't mean it's real, though. The ONLY way you can be SURE that they're real is if you get them yourself.

I was very tempted to buy autographs off Ebay at one point. During the night of appreciation for Sabu card, they had some autographs that I know I'll probably never get, such as a steel chair signed by Bret Hart and a program card signed by Sabu, Shane Douglas, Raven, and Abyss.
The auction was done by 1wrestling, so I'm quite sure they were real. I just didn't do it :-\ |
I go into a thread titled "Are these real?" and I don't see any boobies....wtf?

For once you and me were thinking the same thing. |
I do agree, it sucks to get the autograph through buying it - though if you absolutely must, it is best to go through verified stores / dealers / collectors sites to get them. As far as retired guys go, depending on where you live, you may want to try to go to one of the conventions - where you'll get to meet a whole shitload of them at once. I know they run many conventions throughout the country now.
Several of the signatures are indeed real, but other ones it's hard to tell online through photos and all of that, and some of them aren't clear enough to tell. Depends if you want 1 or 2 sigs, it might be worth purchasing, but if you want a number of them, and you're gonna spend like $25 a pop on em, plus shipping and shit, you'd be better off at a convention :( |
