Things you thought differently when you were a mark
 

Like whenever a midcarder would challenge the WWE Champion for the title on a TV show, I always thought that the challenger had a chance of winning the title that night :lol:

ie. When Chris Benoit came to the WWF, he faced Triple H for the WWF Title on SD! I actually thought he had a chance of winning the title

ie. Rhyno challenging The Rock for the WCW Title on RAW. I thought Rhyno actually had a chance

I thought that Canada sucked, thus I thought that all Canadian wrestlers sucked.

I thought that The Undertaker and Kane really were brothers and had powers. I even went though the trouble of mailing WWF Magazine asking Paul Bearer if he was really their father. :shifty:

Back when DX was around and HHH got hurt (might have just been a sotry line) but he droped the belt and their was a tourny that night for it. X-Pac made it to the finals and I thought he was acually gonna win it.

I thought Sting lived in a house with that crow that always showed up... i marked out for black and white sting so much.. good old days..

I thought "Man is I was a wrestler I help that guy who is getting beaten up."

I would actually get excited for a World Title match on Raw or Smackdown.

Nowadays, I don't even care about watching them as a I now the belt will never change hands like it would on a PPV event.

Yeah I used to be excited about all title matches on RAW or SmackDown, I used to think all 'Brother' tag-teams were actually brothers, LOL I even believed the Dudleys were half-brothers.

In entertainment, the little guy almsot never goes over the big guy. I don't see why being a mark would make you think the midcarder had a chance, unless you thought it was real as well.

Not that I can talk. I thought that Vince Screwed Bret, Stephanie McMahon really Married HHH, and that Shawn Michaels was gay...

Mostly the lightning thing. I knew the lights and pyros and all that was set up, but I couldn't figure out how they could do lightning. The whole Royal Rumble 94 thing messed with my head pretty bad. The sad thing is that it was painfully obvious how it was done.

I really thought no one could see the Ultimate Warrior but Hogan.

I actually believed that Owen hated Bret in real life and that the Anvil/Owen vs Bulldog/Bret/the rest of the Hart family feud was legitimate out of the ring heat (of course I didn't know the terms then, but ...) :$

Then again, I was still a mark at the time of the Screwjob and thought Bret had actually submitted :o It was only when I read about it all on the 'net and watched Wrestling with Shadows that I found out the truth.

i used to mark out on all wwf wrestling events prior to 1997, i consider anything past their ok wrestling or just plain crap....i miss the old days when i would get excited for the royal rumble, survivor series etc, stupid writers, HHH and vince have screwed wrestling to the max.

When I was a mark I used to listen to JR like he was reading from the Gospel of Wrestling. I believed every word he said.

Now I've heard 'bah gawd' and 'that's gowta be twenty...thiwty feet high' so many times it's lost meaning.
