I have a mission for you lovely people of the Wrestling Forum

Alright kids, here's the deal. I used to watch wrestling all the time, but then I didn't have access to cable anymore, so I kinda was forcibly stopped from watching it. Well, that, and at the time, wrestling was crappy.

Anywho, I have a challenge for the collective body of the Wrestling Forum. I haven't seen anything WWE in literally about 3 years or so. To put it accurately, the last RAW I saw was the one where Bischoff had that Wheel of Fortune-esque thing going on. Remember it? They acted like a Buried Alive match was actually a viable scenario.

Now, here's my challenge: I want you guys to fill me in on every major or noteworthy event that has occurred in the WWE since that RAW. I think I am getting cable again and I want be brought up to speed. Right now.

There is a wrestler who is mentally handicapped.

Lita had a miscarriage.

Bradshaw had a record setting WWE title reign.

Divas ate pie with their asses.

Corkscrewed 07-28-2005 02:12 PM

A terrorist came to SD and left. :shifty:

Corkscrewed 07-28-2005 02:12 PM

Oh, and HHH actually put Batista over 100%. And he hasn't been on TV for weeks.

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:19 PM

Viscera is no longer a menacing freak show. He is now known as "The World's Largest Love Machine". I wish I were lying about this, but I am not.

Well, I can see I've missed out on a second Golden Age here. :|

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:21 PM

Actually, save the ass pie, those were all fairly entertaining.

So they fired Mark Henry, rehired Viscera as the new Mark Henry, and gave him his 1999 gimmick? :$

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:24 PM

Something like that. But Viscera was going around with Lillian Garcia, as opposed to Mae Young.

I never even saw the transition from Bradshaw, one-half of the least-active tag teams ever, being carried through promos by Faarooq's sensational reading of his "Damn!" line  to hickboy JBL. :$

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:25 PM

And when Viscera went on a date with Trish Stratus, it was one of the funniest things in the past ten years.

So Lillian is no longer the ring announcer? She's arm candy? Scantily clad, large-jawed arm candy? Crazy.

What did Viscera do to get this cushy angle?

Marcyo 07-28-2005 02:29 PM

Triple H captured the world title quite a few times (10 so far). Here's the main title History for Raw since 2002:

Bischoff awards Triple H the World Heavyweight title.

HBK def. HHH for the title at Survivor Series 2002.

HHH def. HBK for the title at Armageddon 2002.

Goldberg def. HHH for the title at Unforgiven 2003.

HHH def. Goldberg for the title at Armageddon 2003, in a triple threat match that also included Kane.

Chris Benoit def. HHH for the title at Wrestlemania 20 in a match that also included HBK.

Randy Orton def. Chris Benoit for the title at SummerSlam 2004.

A month later, HHH def. Orton for said title.

The title is vacated a few months later due to a 'controversy' angle.

At New Year's Revolution 2005, HHH wins the title in the elimination chamber.

At Wrestlemania 21, Batista def. Triple H for the title.

Batista is drafted to SD with the title, while John Cena comes to Raw with the WWE title.

John Cena is scheduled in a match vs Jericho at SummerSlam 2005.

Many HHH in there, he's basically buried everyone except 'tista.

"Mick Foley, Sycophant to Vince McMahon; Hirer of Yurple" funny, or "Mae Young, Mother of Hand" funny?

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:30 PM

Well, Lillian's still an announcer. Big Vis just kinda stalked her, wooed her with his charms, and she proposed to him. Before he could respond, however, The Godfather and the Ho Train came out (not making this up either) and convinced him that he shouldn't stick to one girl when he could have MANY girls.

It all started when Trish was being tortured by Kane because of what she had done to Lita. Trish needed some protection and somebody to take Kane out. She found Viscera. It was decided that if Viscera could take Kane out, Trish would boink him. Viscera failed and Trish went on a rant about how ridiculous it was for Vis to think that she'd ever sleep with his grotesque ass, so he gave her a big splash and became a face. Now, he has an insatiable appetite for looooove, and no ladies are safe from his charms.

Only in the WWE can a borderline rapist be a face.

Just looking at that makes me pine for the days of RAW title changes. :(

Good to see HHH is looking out for number one.

Wow.

Just... wow.

The Godfather still works there? :|

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:36 PM

Nope. He appeared that one time, and hasn't been on TV since.

mitchables 07-28-2005 02:39 PM

K. And what about the old hands? Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, etc.?

Does The Rock even wrestle anymore?

Marcyo 07-28-2005 02:43 PM

The Rock's gone to Hollywood. Isn't with WWE anymore, from what I heard.

Undertaker is still a major player, he won a #1 contender match not so long ago.

Stone Cold doesn't wrestle, but makes occasionnal appearances.

Nervous Ferret 07-28-2005 02:43 PM

Stone Cold and The Rock show up once in a blue moon, but don't really wqrestle anymore. Undertaker is on smackDOWN!, not really doing much

Marcyo 07-28-2005 02:44 PM

beat the future mod to it

Nervous Ferret 07-28-2005 02:46 PM

oh yeah and Edge banged Lita, then Matt hardy got fired. icon10.gif

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2005 02:46 PM

Don't worry, though. Hardcore Holly is still around.

NoRoolz 07-28-2005 02:54 PM

We've seen HHH hold the World Heavyweight title like 90% of the time.

Not sure if that was 2002, so 2003 Rumble Winner was Brock Lesnar, who headline WMXIX against Kurt Angle and won, also he landed on his head when he attempted a shooting star press. Chris Benoit won the 2004 Royal Rumble coming in 1st, he defeated HBK and HHH at WMXX to win the WHC, he held it until SummerSlam and then lost it to Randy Orton, who at the next P.P.V lost it to Triple H. Batista won the 2005 Royal Rumble and beat HHH at WM21, he still holds the WHC today. He beat HHH 3 times and is mega-over.

There was a roster draft this year (last years is pointless mentioning).

RVD, Cena, Big Show, Carlito and Kurt Angle went to RAW.
Batista, Christian, Muhammad Hassan, Chris Benoit and Randy Orton to SmackDown!

Eddie Guerrero won the WWE Title at No Way Out 2004 from Broxk Lesnar, and held it until the Great American Bash, where he lost it to Bradshaw... yes BRADSHAW, with a new wall-street, rich American gimmick. Bradshaw, now JBL held the title until WM21, where he lost to John Cena, who is still WWE Champion today. The World Heavyweight title is now on SmackDown and the WWE Championship is on RAW.

We've seen short-lived main-event runs from Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Goldberg, all of whom jobbing to Triple H.

There are now Elimination Chamber matches, there have been 3. HBK won 1, and HHH won 2.

Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels had an amazing match at WM21.

Christian has been making shows worthwhile for the past year or so.

Matt Hardy was dating Lita, Edge fucked Lita, Matt was all angry. Matt got fired, then he seemed to be re-hired to feud with Edge again, and lately has been attacking Edge as though he is coming through the crowd and blah blah.

We've seen about 3 or 4 'last' Hulk Hogan matches.

The Cruiserweight division has been going up and down, and times it was good, like when Chavo, Rey and Paul London were involved. But then it went down. Now however, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis and Super Crazy have been hired and they are in a stable on SmackDown now, cleverly named the Mexicools, they recently had a match and won against the bWo. Who returned recently.

There was an ECW re-union in June that was AMAZING.

Brock Lesnar quit WWE after WMXX to try his luck in football, but...he sucked. So he's now trying to get back into the WWE.

The Tag divisions have been pathetic, and still are now.

Hardcore Holly is STILL with WWE.

The Dudley Boyz were fired.

Kane no longer wears a mask (you might have seen this?).

There have been several Hell in a Cell matches, none being too special. The most recent was Batista/HHH which was meant to be good although I haven't seen it.

The IC title was brought back and so was the US Title (again you may have seen this)

The current I.C champ is Carlito, who debuted in 2004, he is a heel and has a 'cool' gimmick, similar to Razor Ramon. The US Champ is Orlando Jordan, he was in JBL's stable named the cabinet, which also included The Basham Brothers, who were a tag-team but now one of them is on RAW the other on SD!

Edge won a 'Money in the Bank' ladder match at WM21 and is allowed a title shot when he wants one.

Last year we saw the debut of Taboo Tuesday, a P.P.V where the internet decides what matches we see. Last year we had a choice of around 20 people of who we could choose to face y2j for the I.C title, and what type of match Ric Flair and Randy Orton had, and what attire the Diva's would wear in their match.

There has been 2 Diva Searches (one is taking place now). Needless to say they suck balls, and nearly all of the finalists get hired. Christy Hemme won last years.

There have been several firing sprees.

Randy Orton became the youngest champ of all time when he defeated Benoit at SummerSlam 2004.

Road Warrior Animal returned recently and teamed with Heidenreich to win the Tag Titles from MNM (who are a tag team that are celebrities).

Shawn Michaels recently turned heel by SCMing Hulk Hogan (yeah he's back again) and they are fighting at SummerSlam.

The current champions are: (I haven't seen RAW or SmackDown so they could be different, please correct me if they are)

WWE Champion (RAW): John Cena
World Heavyweight Champion (SD!): Batista
I.C Champion (RAW): Carlito Caribbean Cool
U.S Champion (SD!): Orlando Jordan
WWE Tag Champions (SD!): Animal/Heidenreich
World Tag Champions (RAW): Hurricane and Rosey
Womens Champion (RAW): Trish Stratus
Cruiserweight Champion (SD!): Paul London

Oh yeah...

Chavo Guerrero went to RAW and is now known as 'Kerwin White' who is a middle class American. Chavo denounced his Mexican Heritage on RAW.

Muhammad Hassan and Khosrow Daivari debuted last year, and they are Arab-Americans who moan about discrimination etc, and sometimes make references to 9/11, they were drafted to SD! and Hassan lost a match at the Great American Bash meaning he can't appear on SmackDown again. (I haven't seen this weeks SmackDown so feel free to add to this).

The Boogeyman is going to debut soon :D.

That's all I can think of right now, there's probably plenty more, hope this helps a little :y:.

Also go to WWE.com and check out the title history, you can see what has happened title-wise since your WWE hiatus :D.

:y:

NoRoolz 07-28-2005 02:57 PM

^ -Edit- Forget the Title History thing, Marcyo has seen to that :D. I started typing when the last post was Corkscrewed's HHH putting over Batista post :$.

mitchables 07-28-2005 02:59 PM

WOW.

That was excellent.

Only two questions:

Why were the Dudleys fired?

Who else was a part of these "firing sprees"?

NoRoolz 07-28-2005 03:09 PM

The Dudleys were fired because the WWE and them couldn't agree a deal, and there was no real storyline for them.

Other people off my head are: Maven, A-Train, Test, Billy Gunn, Kenzo Suzuki, Mark Jindrak, Marty Jannetty, Gangrel, Jazz, Molly Holly, Chuck Palumbo, Hiroko, Gail Kim, Charlie Haas, Rico, Dawn Marie, Miss Jackie, Akio, Billy Kidman, Spike Dudley, Shannon moore.

Rhyno, Matt Hardy and Luther Reigns were also fired, not during the 'sprees' though.

Gangrel and Marty Jannetty were hired and then fired again.

Come to think of it you probably won't recognise many of the fired names, none are really important really, most were just heat jobbers or random tag-team members.

Charlie Haas and Akio were amazing though, they shouldn't have been fired.

NoRoolz 07-28-2005 03:13 PM

Also the Diva Division is dead, what with all the actual WRESTLING women being fired, we now have Trish, Victoria, and a bunch of silicone sluts, except Stacy .

Notible people fired where - Jamie Noble, Molly Holly, Billy Kidman, Matt HARDY (back now), Rhyno, Charlie Haas, Luther Reigns, Jazz, Gail Kim, Jamal (of 3 Min Warning) Billy Gunn..and thats all I can think of right now.

NoRoolz 07-28-2005 03:18 PM

Forgot Jamie Noble, he was awesome too :nono:, his bitch got fired too (Nidia) but she was just :| anyway.

Innovator 07-28-2005 04:33 PM

Jeff was canned early 2003

Edge fucked Lita. Matt whined. Matt got fired. Fans chant for Matt. WWE rehires Matt.

the future:

Champion of Europa 07-28-2005 04:38 PM

Jamie Noble's firing was because of steriod use.

Kurt Angle called Booker T's wife a gutterslut and wanted to have sex with her.

Eddie Guerrero has been feuding with Rey and has been saying he will reveal a secret to Rey's son if Rey lost at the Great American Bash. Rey won at the Bash, but apparently Eddie is going to reveal the secret anyway.

Heidenreich is a talentles big man who reads bad poetry.

Chris Masters is a talentless big man who has a contest to see who can break his full nelson, dubbed 'The Masterlock'.

Shelton Benjamin has been the man.
