The 'Evolution' of Batista (Smackdown Spoilers?)
 

anyway, in the "contract signing" segment on SmackDown...Batista sounded a lot better on the mic than he did right before GAB, with that lame "bully" scripted crap. Did they finally just let him loose?

and really, if the in-ring segment wouldn't be a pile of crap...this would be the best feud on either brand.



also, man, if they keep zooming in on Jillian's face I'm gonna pull an old-school DROZ and PUKE!

The whole exchange between the two this week did seem a little awkward, but yes it was a lot better than the previous week. It had to be a stipulation match or else it would be as terrible as their last PPV match.

What Batista said seemed a whole lot more believable this time around.

On another note...on the subject of SmackDown...

Other observations:

1. Maybe if Dominic didn't look JUST LIKE REY...the whole "Eddie's The Daddy" angle would work even better. Even with mask on you can see the resemblance.

2. Christian and Rey Mysterio make for strange wrestling opponents. It's almost as if Christian is too tall to do what he wants to correctly.

3. If they're going to blur out something, blur out whatever the eff that is on Jillian's face. I didn't notice any UPN shenanigans this week.

4. ALEEEYEEELEEEAAAAAA....

JBL called Batista a Goof

Probably will be anyway. At least this promo had some good lines though. And Batista DID sound more natural, though not GOOD.

I loved when JBL helped him with his name.

My brother, who hates wrestling, walked into the room, saw Rey Rey on the screen next to Christian (In the Peep Show), and asked, "Is he a midget?"

I hope they put the Dave/JBL match on last. Just for consistency reasons. Batista is still going strong, and I hope he walks out of Summerslam with the belt. I was extremely entertained with their promo this week, and it was awesome to hear JBL spell out Batista's name for him.

I hope they keep uo the good work heading into Summerslam. Hopefully the crowd reaction at Summerslam, and the effort these two will put into the No Holds Barred Match will be enough to make this a good match.
