Here you go:

It has tilt technology which allows you to move it around and controller the stuff on screen.

Not going to post the whole article because it's quite lengthy but here is the link to it.

I think it looks ridiculous, personally. I haven't held one so I can't judge fully but I can't find that being comfortable for long game play.

Loose Cannon 09-15-2005 11:05 PM

this is a fucking joke right?

HeartBreakMan2k 09-15-2005 11:06 PM

Between this and the gameboy micro I'm really starting to think Nintendo wants to go bankrupt.

el fregadero 09-15-2005 11:06 PM

I like the look. It gives you more freedom when playing the games. You can hold the movement part however close to the buttons as you wish. This could be interesting, too bad I don't plan on buying a Revolution.

Loose Cannon 09-15-2005 11:06 PM

that is possibly the gayest technological device I've ever seen in my entire life.

Bad Company 09-15-2005 11:10 PM

hw fucking stupid.

Come on. The analog stick is a peripheral which will probably mean it's needed to be bought seperate. So if you're going to buy that just so you can wiggle your hands together while pointing at sensors you have to position around your television set, then by all means.

I guess you had your response ready before you read my last sentence.

FearedSanctity 09-15-2005 11:16 PM

That's.....pretty fucking bad. Might be good, but for now, no

I fucking lose PS2 and GC controls easily, that thing would disappear in a week

Gouda 09-15-2005 11:20 PM

Dammit. Boomerangs and remote controls. Both of which were made to be THROWN.

There's gonna be a lot of broken controllers.

Funky Fly 09-15-2005 11:22 PM

Wow, definitely getting the PS3, THEN the Revolution. That is ridiculous.

Drakul 09-15-2005 11:28 PM

Are you sure its not just a mock-up like IGN did a few weeks back?

Kane Knight 09-15-2005 11:31 PM

I don't buy it. Especially after all the talk of backwards compatability.

DS 09-15-2005 11:35 PM

It was shown at the Tokyo Game Show by Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo reps and that's where they were going to release the first info on the revolution. This is just the first to come from it.

Drakul 09-15-2005 11:36 PM

Would you rather have the one in the first post or this?

Silent 09-15-2005 11:39 PM

I hope not. That is going to suck for old games that don't use the analog stick.. have to use two hands on the remote control. :(

Joey Slugs 09-15-2005 11:40 PM

kiss nintendo goodbye. first they lost the final fantasy franchise (FF7 would of been for the dolphin cd system and would of sent them over the top... but "cart based games are still the future") and now this bullshit.

hello PS3.

mitch_h 09-15-2005 11:41 PM

Wow... terrible. I don't know it just... doesn't look "fun". Like i've never thought to myself "wow I would really like to pay video games with my television converter.

road doggy dogg 09-15-2005 11:54 PM

I've been a longtime Nintendo supporter, but if this is really Revolution's controller...

Might just have to get a 360 instead. =\

Joey Slugs 09-15-2005 11:58 PM

you know, i just had a thought......

isn't the system supposed to be black?

which means the second picture in this thread makes more sense.

Jason Cage 09-16-2005 12:03 AM

looks liek someone shit in their cereal

road doggy dogg 09-16-2005 12:08 AM

If that 2nd pic is anywhere near true, I will be hawt in the pants

Drakul 09-16-2005 12:09 AM

Wow YTMND is already over flowing with YTMNDs about the controllers.

Kapoutman 09-16-2005 12:11 AM

I just don't know what to think. When reading the article, it looks interesting, and I've learned not to doubt Miyamoto... But it does look gay/weird/odd and will turna lot of people off. I'll try before I buy this time.

DS 09-16-2005 12:13 AM

For those of you still having doubts about it being the actual controller...

Jason Cage 09-16-2005 12:14 AM

I MENA SERIOUSLY IT LOOKS LIEK A FRIDGE REMOTE FOR ICE CUBES.

howz it suppsoed to work anyway, you've always needed easy access to all the buttons. WTF. This is the most retarded shit ever

"The feeling is so natural and real, as soon as players use the controller, their minds will spin with the possibilities of how this will change gaming as we know it today,” explains Satoru Iwata, Nintendo president. “This is an extremely exciting innovation – one that will thrill current players and entice new ones.”

:wtf: This guy's under the influence of colombian cocaine

Mike the Metal Ed 09-16-2005 03:54 AM

Fucking stupid :|

Thanks Nintendo.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-16-2005 06:57 AM

Hot shit.

No really; steaming, stinking, hot shit.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-16-2005 07:12 AM

http://cube.ign.com/articles/651/651275p1.html

IGN article. They make some good points about the upside but really, who the fuck is going to spend time and money redeveloping games to be used with *that* or even buliding a seperate controller add-on when they can basically produce one set of code, tweak it slightly, and have it go out on both PS3 and 360?

Scarface 09-16-2005 07:29 AM

Someone has been doing some class A drugs down at Nintendo. Seriously what the fuck.

Xero 09-16-2005 07:33 AM

You know, I've been a Nintendo fan(boy) for my entire life. I remember playing the Mario games for hours on end. I didn't buy a PSX for years because I only loved Nintendo. But for fuck's sake, what in the fucking hell are they thinking!? I'm actually going to have to TRY this before I buy it, which is actually rare for me, as I usually get shit at launch.

I'm afraid that no matter how well this thing works, it's going to bomb because it sounds and looks like the most ridiculous idea for a game controller ever. This may actually kill Nintendo.

I may actually reconsider and get an Xbox 360 instead of the Revolution.

Jonster 09-16-2005 08:12 AM

I like it.

G 09-16-2005 08:30 AM

I'm going against all of you (besides Jonster) by saying that this will be the most revolutionary thing in Video Game history. They don't call it the Nintendo Revolution for nothing.

I obviously haven't taken my medicine.

Disturbed316 09-16-2005 08:44 AM

Thats.....interesting.
