Three matches announced for the epic event on October 23! On Friday’s TNA “Best Of” show (currently airing in the Pay-Per-View Area), Mike Tenay and Don West announced the first three matches announced for the huge “Bound For Glory” event on Sunday, October 23 – the crown jewel of the TNA Pay-Per-Views! The new matches announced are as follows: IRONMAN MATCH FOR THE X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels Last February at Against All Odds, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels competed in one of the most grueling, competitive Ironman matches in recent memory. Now, the two X Division kingpins will go the distance once again in a rematch for the gold! After 30 minutes, whoever has the most wins – by pinfall or submission – walks out the champion. Welcome to the next battle in the ongoing war between Styles and Daniels – only at “Bound For Glory” on October 23! ULTIMATE X MATCH FOR THE #1 CONTENDER Matt Bentley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams It’s been called the most innovative bout in wrestling in the last decade – the high-flying, daredevil Ultimate X Match! With the #1 contender to the X Division Title on the line for Matt Bentley, Chris Sabin and Petey Williams, who will be the first to scale the steel structure and pull down the “X” from above the ring to earn a shot at the gold? Will it be the competitor who introduced the Ultimate X Match to TNA in Matt Bentley, the star who has scored the most wins in the bout in Chris Sabin, or the Team Canada captain Petey Williams, still looking for his first Ultimate X win? THE TNA DEBUT OF A LEGEND “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe vs. Jushin “Thunder” Liger The fans of the X Division are in for a true classic at “Bound For Glory” as perhaps the greatest high-flyer in the history of wrestling will compete that night! Live and exclusively on Pay-Per-View, Japanese legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger makes his TNA debut in his United States return against the unstoppable “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe! It will be the first-ever battle between the two stars of the X style! </td> </tr> <!-- full_story --> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td align="right" width="100%"> </td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody> </table> |
Whoa. Joe vs. Liger. My god.

Good. I have some of his matches on my computer. His match against Owen Hart in Japan is the greatest.
Joe and Liger's style don't exactly match up...but it doesn't matter Liger could wrestling a wet blanket and still be incredible.
Eddie Guerrero and Lyger V Pudding and Wet Blanket
 :shifty: |
HOLY SHIT LIGER VS SAMOA F'N JOE
IRON MAN REMATCH HELL YEAH |
wow, that is a sick lineup.
They need to cool it with the Ultimate X matches for awhile. It won't be anything special if they do it every single month.
And Holy shit @ Iron Man rematch |
TNA is officialy spanking WWE as far as in-ring quality goes.
It's Triple H's fault.
If they keep spitting out the sick matches in the undercard, maybe we'll all be able to forget that the main event will probably be Jeff Jarrett beating Abyss/Sabu/Raven/Rhino/Kevin Nash/both Dudleys singlEhandedly to retain his title.
Probably? It's certain. If they're still around by 2010, I am sure everyone will have joined JJ at some point. Including Mike Tenay.
Yes. Tenay will turn heel.
this is only the 2nd ultimate x this year it has'nt been every month
hell it's only the 4th one all together |
People can say what they want about TNA (I'm guilty too for saying negative remarks at times), but holy shit that card smokes any card WWE has had in months or even years!
So glad that Dusty is gone. |
And then you'll probably also see Dudleyz/AMW. Austin Aries is about to sign a contract, so he'll probably have a match. The NWA Title match is up in the air. I'm thinking Monty will be the one to beat Jarrett.
THE POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE!
Period.
i hope it's jj vs monty vs raven with monty finally winning the gold
hell he's busted his ass to get it |
 @ Brown busting his ass to get anything.
A lot of people have busted their asses only to hit a glass ceiling.
There is no denying that, but Monty Brown? Yeah right.
Konnan as the champ + throwing his shoe during his title defenses = Ratings
Monty Brown sets up for the POOOOUUUUNNNNCE......
Wait Konnan reversed it by throwing his shoe right in Monty's face. What a counter. :shifty: |
I NEED A TOWEL.
Liger and Joe were on the same team during ROH's Weekend of Thunder back in 2004.
Liger and Joe vs. Low Ki and American Dragon = money |
