The Miz 10-02-2005 09:42 PM

Last years results:

1. Johan Santana, MIN
2. Curt Schilling, BOS
3. Pedro Martinez, BOS
4. Mariano Rivera, NY
5. Rodrigo Lopez, BAL

Joey Slugs 10-02-2005 09:47 PM

(i like how you have the stats along with the poll Miz.)

Colon will win it, but my vote goes to the best southpaw in the league: Mark Buehrle.

BCWWF 10-02-2005 10:46 PM

Alright after looking at the stats...WTF? Why would Bartolo even be mentioned other then wins? Johan has a much better ERA, strikeouts, K/BB, OBA, WHIP, and less losses. Statistically Johan should win hands down, and thats not just me being a homer, look at his stats.

The real voting votes for second and thing (maybe fourth and fifth?)

But my votes go
1. Johan
2. Buehlre
3. Rivera

BCWWF 10-02-2005 10:47 PM

Double post, but seriously, The Miz should be right on par here, wins don't mean shit. Besides that, Colon wouldn't even be mentioned.

BCWWF 10-02-2005 10:54 PM

OK not that they don't mean shit, but they aren't everything, especially when your ERA and WHIP and OBA aren't spectacular.

Loose Cannon 10-02-2005 10:55 PM

ok ok clam down

He will still win though cause voters love the wins.

The Outlaw 10-02-2005 10:55 PM

I didn't realize how high those guys' OBA was. I voted for Mariano, but Johan would be a solid choice as well.

KingofOldSchool 10-02-2005 10:57 PM

I'm going with either Mariano or Santana.

The Miz 10-02-2005 10:58 PM

I didn't see any reason to pick anyone besides Johan.

I should've clarified, OBA is on-base allowed, not opponent batting average.

BCWWF 10-02-2005 11:04 PM

I also didn't realize Millwood had a dominant ERA. He has some other big stats too, I never even heard him mentioned all year.

Innovator 10-02-2005 11:11 PM

Mo

The Answer 10-02-2005 11:27 PM

*Sigh* If he didn't get hurt it would have been Roy Halladay easily. Im going Colon

YOUR Hero 10-02-2005 11:45 PM

Halladay was a lock this year. God dammit. I say it's a shame if Buerle doesn't win it, although Santana did finish very strong in the second half.

Ahh, I was assuming. :o

RoXer 10-03-2005 01:13 AM

Johan

Gertner 10-03-2005 12:05 PM

Buehrle

Evil Vito 10-03-2005 12:43 PM

Johan

Supreme Olajuwon 10-03-2005 04:53 PM

I vote Johan but I wouldn't be upset if Buehrle got it.

BCWWF 10-04-2005 02:17 AM

I think Buehrle did more for his team, but at the end of the year Johans stats are just above everybody else. So it depends what you go on. Colon just shouldn't even be a factor.

Nervous Ferret 10-04-2005 08:19 PM

Rivera carried the entire Yankee bullpen from about April 14th to about August 29th.

Nervous Ferret 10-04-2005 08:19 PM

But I still gotta go Santana :-\

Loose Cannon 11-08-2005 09:34 PM

lol, I knew it. Come on, you know these jackass voters

YOUR Hero 11-08-2005 10:06 PM

Chicks dig the wins.

The Miz 11-08-2005 10:32 PM

Someone break the tie on this poll
