(i like how you have the stats along with the poll Miz.)
Colon will win it, but my vote goes to the best southpaw in the league: Mark Buehrle. |

Alright after looking at the stats...WTF? Why would Bartolo even be mentioned other then wins? Johan has a much better ERA, strikeouts, K/BB, OBA, WHIP, and less losses. Statistically Johan should win hands down, and thats not just me being a homer, look at his stats.
The real voting votes for second and thing (maybe fourth and fifth?) But my votes go 1. Johan 2. Buehlre 3. Rivera |

Double post, but seriously, The Miz should be right on par here, wins don't mean shit. Besides that, Colon wouldn't even be mentioned.

OK not that they don't mean shit, but they aren't everything, especially when your ERA and WHIP and OBA aren't spectacular.

I didn't realize how high those guys' OBA was. I voted for Mariano, but Johan would be a solid choice as well.

I didn't see any reason to pick anyone besides Johan.

I also didn't realize Millwood had a dominant ERA. He has some other big stats too, I never even heard him mentioned all year.

Halladay was a lock this year. God dammit. I say it's a shame if Buerle doesn't win it, although Santana did finish very strong in the second half.

I vote Johan but I wouldn't be upset if Buehrle got it.

I think Buehrle did more for his team, but at the end of the year Johans stats are just above everybody else. So it depends what you go on. Colon just shouldn't even be a factor.

Rivera carried the entire Yankee bullpen from about April 14th to about August 29th.
