Pretty awesome. I saw London wearing it in his small part of SmackDown! and remember thinking "what's he doing now?", but it actually looks really good. Paul London looks kinda evil now. His goatee and his hair style (which seems a bit different now) and the shiny pants really go well with him. Brian Kendrick is becomming more and more in-synch with Paul London every day.

Watch Velocity for Doug Basham as well. I love that guy.

Gertner 12-17-2005 10:22 PM

velocity was very nice! jamie knoble looked tremendous

Hey nothing wrong with checking out Brian Kendrick. If you squint he kinda looks like Shannon Moore. :shifty:

Just watched it, and I've got a couple of thoughts. Overall a good match, but too little psychology. One, London and Kendrick seemed to wrestle the heel style in this match. Not the best of ideas when you're fighter a heel team. Also, London and Kendrick need to learn how to wrestle as a tag team. Yes, they have tag moves, but there are a lot of little nuances that they're missing. Like one, they're doing nothing but straight tags, this only gives them 5 seconds to double team. They need to look at old rocker tapes and learn to blind tag in the middle of a move so they can get an extra 2 or 3 seconds. Once they learn the little stuff, they've got the potential to be as good as the Rockers (best fast paced tag team of all time in my opinion).

I think they're pretty good as a tag team, myself. Like that heel style stuff, it's just sort of there to make it look like they know how to wrestle tag matches, and place emphasis on their teaming skills. Eventually they settle down into the hot tag predicament, though.

I can't really argue you about The Rockers, as I haven't seen too much of them, but I don't mind their current style. It's at least interesting compared to other teams these days. I like the aura they've created for themselves with their masks. LMAO at their little "coming up" screen thingy.

I like 'em as a team. Good style, good workers, getting over and they're looking like a tag team now. Good stuff.

HeartBreakMan2k 12-18-2005 06:02 AM

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I like them as a team. I just don't like the whole "Plain tag, tag team move, get out the ring, do a move, plain tag, tag move, get out the ring, repeat" thing they've got going. I just think they've got to incorporate so blind tags for one. I like the fact they have a ton of tag moves, I just don't like how they set them up, becausse well... there is no set up. It's just tag, do the tag move. No real rhyme or reason for it other than they can.

And I like the fact they boarder a heel style in the ring, it seperates them from all the other tag teams. It just also puts them in a very precarious situation as the line they are walking is very then. Right now they're doing well, walking the line and still getting face pops. I just worry they'll edge to close and start getting boos, I don't see those two being able to get over as a great heel team until they've had an extensive amount of success due to their size, style and look.

HeatBreakKid2k - you have to realise though that this was a squash match by design, and not set to be an ultra-competitive contest. With that in mind, there isn't always a need to do the blind tags. It's also why they were in charge for the majority of the match. No need to do everything all of the time if it doesn't fit in with the context.

PorkSoda 12-18-2005 09:22 AM

London and Kendrick are awesome. I love their finisher. Complete Shot/Enziguri combo.

Arch Kincaid is hilarious. You should meet him, he's really goofy. See what he did before he entered the ring? He put his foot on the top rope and smirked. What a goof.

hb2k 12-18-2005 10:54 AM

BTW, did anybody else notice Noble steal Roderick Strong's Gutbuster/Kekka Kick Combo?

Savio 12-18-2005 11:00 AM

I know this was a squash. But they've wrestled the vast majority of their matches the same. I have no problem with them dominating the match, they should have, but even when they arren't dominating I feel as though they lack a certain something in the way they wrestle as a tag team. Blind tags being the most notable nuance that's lacking.

HeartBreakMan2k 12-18-2005 09:18 PM

Oh and for the record. I love the team and do think they'll be great and be the Rock 'n' Roll Express, and Rockers of their time but they've still got a ways to go.

kinglacoste 12-18-2005 09:22 PM

THESE GUYS ARE TRASH. THEY SHOULDNT EVEN BE ABLE TO WRESTLE AT THE FLEA MARKET MATCHES IN MY HOME TOWN.

I get what you're saying. I guess I was just so enthralled in the way they're meshing as a tag team visually, and making their moves look painfully effective that I didn't really notice the formula that they were using.

The fans actually reacted better to them on Velocity than they have in recent memory, so I think what they're doing is working, they just have oi give them time to develop characters as well. I love the way they play up the fact they are goofs, which should go to draw them face heat. Worst case scenario, they get booed and play arrogant goof heels that are just too effective with their tag team moves to be stopped.

I can't wait until one that knows how to handle themselves comes along, kicks your ass in front of both the people that care about you, and destroys what "dignity" you think you have.

Fight between big guy with same training as little guy= win for big guy, why do you think there are divisions in boxing and other martial arts?

Sure, if they have equal training, if the big guy is a useless piece of shit compared to the little guy, things can be different.

Kane Knight 12-20-2005 05:04 PM

Pete's right. There have never been little fighters who have dominated larger divisions.

Mr. Nerfect 12-20-2005 11:11 PM

What is Paul London & Brian Kendrick's "Get Well Soon" finishing move? I thought it was something like the Total Elimination, but it might be this Flatliner/Roundhouse Kick combo they're using. Anyone know for sure?
