Well, I was the first to comment. So instead of blowing this out of the water, I wanted to leave the door open for further criticism.

D Mac 12-23-2005 07:30 AM

Thank you wrestlingaudio for posting this bullshit from wrestlingaudio.com. Hey, wait a minute.....:shifty:

Disturbed316 12-23-2005 07:51 AM

TBH Eddie shouldn't be #1. He didn't exactly do much wrestling wise this year apart from winning the tag titles and feuding with Rey :-\

Xero 12-23-2005 09:37 AM

And, once again, I say, please, for the love of God, hire a fucking web designer. What an ugly interface.

Yeah. I mean, look at all the other people who've held the WWE Title for 3/4 of the year! WTF is that guy doing on there?!?

Xero 12-23-2005 01:22 PM

Not to sound like an asshole, but just because they died doesn't mean they deserve to be in a high position. Eddie's #1? Come on. Top ten, definitely, but not #1.

And what the fuck is up with Hayes? When was the last time he was even AT a wrestling event, much less a WWE event?

Xero 12-23-2005 01:24 PM

Also, when is this jackass going to be banned? All he does is advertise his shitty site.

The Show Off 12-23-2005 01:27 PM

Eh I stand by my list.

I have to show respect to the departed, and those that made the Hall of Fame.

I can definitly understand why you wouldn't want Hayse on the list, but I'm entitled to my opinion just as you are.

Didn't he pass away not long ago?

I know he did, I just don't feel that someone who died and hasn't even been on a wrestling show in longer than 5 years, much less the last year, shouldn't be on a list of 2005 wrestlers.

hb2k 12-23-2005 02:28 PM

Nikolai Volkoff wasn't top 50 in his prime...let alone 2005

LOL, why are Hayes, Orton, Volkoff, Shiek and Hart on here? Did you forget you were making a 2005 list?

loopydate 12-23-2005 04:31 PM

Just out of sheer morbid curiosity, I went through the Big Three title histories to see who held what titles this year, and for how long. The longest reign of the year really surprised me.

WWE World Title
Batista 272 days
Triple H 84 days

WWE Title
John Cena 272 days
JBL 93 days

World Tag Team Titles
The Hurricane & Rosey 140 days
Tajiri & William Regal 86 days
The Big Show & Kane 60 days
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch 44 days
Rob Conway & Sylvain Grenier 19 days
Eugene & William Regal 16 days

WWE Tag Team Titles
Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro 146 days
Animal & Heidenreich 93 days
Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio 57 days
Danny Basham & Doug Basham 40 days
Batista & Rey Mysterio 18 days
Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam 11 days

Intercontinental Title
Shelton Benjamin 171 days
Ric Flair 104 days
Carlito 90 days

United States Title
Orlando Jordan 173 days
John Cena 60 days
Chris Benoit 58 days
Booker T 34 days

Women's Title
Trish Stratus 356 days
Lita 9 days

Cruiserweight Title
Paul London 153 days
Nunzio 74 days
Funaki 53 days
Juventud 37 days
Chavo Guerrero 35 days
Kid Kash 13 days

NWA World Title
Jeff Jarrett 239 days
Raven 89 days
AJ Styles 35 days
Rhino 2 days

NWA Tag Team Titles
Chris Harris & James Storm 181 days
Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens 167 days
Booby Roode & Eric Young 16 days

X Division Title
Christopher Daniels 182 days
AJ Styles 147 days
Samoa Joe 20 days
Petey Williams 16 days

Ring Of Honor Heavyweight Title
Austin Aries 169 days
Bryan Danielson 105 days
CM Punk 55 days
James Gibson 36 days

ROH Tag Team Titles
BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff 154 days
Sal Rinauro & Tony Mamaluke 91 days
BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs 70 days
Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero 50 days

ROH Pure Wrestling Title
Nigel McGuinness 126 days
Samoa Joe 112 days
Jay Lethal 65 days
John Walters 62 days

Not sure on the ROH titles' accuracy. Got the records from puroresu.com, and they were missing a couple of late WWE title changes, so there may have been extra ROH changes that I don't know about.

thecc 12-23-2005 05:43 PM

Theyre missing CM Punk for the roh title.

loopydate 12-23-2005 05:44 PM

When did he win it?

Nark Order 12-23-2005 06:02 PM

lol, poor Rhino

loopydate 12-23-2005 06:03 PM

Never mind. Found it.

Hayse died this year.

Orton, Volkoff, Sheik, and Hart were all inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame this year, that's why.

k, it's Hayes, not Hayse. And it's just weird you have those old guys on there. It would be like me rating Ted Williams a top 50 baseball player for 2002. (that's when he died for those who are confused)

C&M held the tag title that long? I thought it was for like a week 2 at the most.

Nervous Ferret 12-24-2005 03:35 AM

ROFL Cool King, just because you hold a personal grudge on John Cena doesn't mean that Antonio outperformed him this year. LETS GET THERIOUS

They won them September 18 in Oklahoma City from Hurricane & Rosey, then lost them November 1 in San Diego to Big Show & Kane.
