PLEASE bring back JR.

Then Kurt Angle and beat the crap out of him and get over as a heel and we won't have to listen to this more "bash the troops" crap.

It was simple, need to get someone over as a heel? beat up JR.

Taker, Austin, Kane... it worked for all of them.

Now it's Angle's turn.

Also, is Joey Styles really like 4 feet tall or do they have his chair lower then Coach and King?

Rob 12-29-2005 06:29 PM

How sad is it though that Angle being against the armed forces isn't even close to being the sickest storyline of the year?

I have to be honest... they all kinda blend now... I can't even recall them or when they're from... I try to and I have flashed of HHH having sex in a coffin with Katie Vick and Mark Henry being the pround daddy of a hand...

I know those are both from awhile ago... but it just seems like it doesn't end...

I Tivo Raw each week, there was a time where it took me 90mins (FF on commercials) to watch it... Now, I'm usually done in like 30mins... and if I FF through a finish of a match I don't go back, just keep going...

When's Ultimate Fighter 3 start?

Anybody Thrilla 12-29-2005 07:01 PM

I don't understand what direction this thread is supposed to be going.

KingofOldSchool 12-29-2005 07:05 PM

I guess Angle isn't over as a heel, so kicking JR's ass will help.

But then nowadays, I think Saddam would have a hard time getting booed against Cena.

KingofOldSchool 12-29-2005 07:09 PM

Saddam: I do not have weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq.

*crowd boos Saddam*

Cena: Yo Yo Yo Da Champ is HUUUURRRRR! Yo, I've got me some weapons of mass destruction...my fists and my Chaing Gang, DAWG! CHOKE ON DEZ NUTZZZ!!

*only kids and chicks cheer Cena as suddenly everyone else sides with Saddam*

Saddam: But...I do have some WMD's right here hidden in this building!

*suddenly a 'Let's Go Saddam' chant is heard by the male audience*

as KOOS pointed out.

Everytime they really wanted someone over as a Heel they'd beat up JR.

Now, w/ JR gone and they can't seem to get Angle over as a Heel (my opinion, Partially because of Cena and Partially because he's been a Heel for so long, people want to cheer him because he's one of the best/hardest workers and everyone knows it) so he's trashing the troops each week to try and get over as a Heel.

If JR was here, Angle could just kick his ass and be over...

I wonder how Angle a Gold Medal winner with a "broken neck" etc... etc... felt when someone came to him and said "hey, we want you to start trashing the troops each week"

Kane Knight 12-29-2005 09:56 PM

Perfect. Let's pull a complete 180.

Loose Cannon 12-29-2005 10:02 PM

I thought that is was hillarious this past week with the little kids chanting "Let's go Cena" and the adult males chanting "Let's go Shelton." I never really caught a split like that until that Raw. I knew there was, but that's the first time it was so obvious to me.

Innovator 12-29-2005 10:05 PM

I heard it during Summerslam, with the guys cheering for Jericho

So the kids are gay, and the adults have jungle fever...:shifty:

Hmmm...near perfect, near flawless commentary vs. constant OMGWTFBBQSAUCE?!!

I'd take midget boy over Don Vito anyday of the week.

Dave Youell 12-30-2005 07:12 AM

You know i'd never thought i'd say this, but i'm getting bored with Angle.

Turn him face I say

I agree. I think the reason he remains so over with the men in this thing isn't just because he is so talented and a lot of fans are into everything he does, but because the fans are bored shitless with it, and cheer Angle by default due to his natural talent. What I hate about this angle is that he gets so many cheers, yet is arguing the fans don't respect him. Someone please start "AN-GLE" chants along to his music so the WWE can't pull this crap.

Actually, now that you mention it, beating up Joey Styles might actually get Angle some heat. Firstly Styles is well-liked by smart fans (the ones that cheer Angle) and secondly, the guy is so little it would be hard not to feel sorry for him.

Screw Jim Ross, most of the time when he gets beaten up, I find it hilarious. I mean, I respect the guy for what he's donein the industry, and I think he deserves some backstage roll in the company, or something, but when he's on screen, he is so unreasonable with his bias (even if it is to the "good guys") that it makes me sick. Jerry Lawler's starting to do that, too. Give me a commentator that can reasonably justify why they can or can't stand behind an action. I hate the way that the commentators (namely Jonathan Coachman, because you know he wants to and his character wants to) never stand up for the heel personalities like Kurt Angle and Daivari.

would love to see a face angle, my favourite angle was the one fighting against the alliance

Austin vs Angle Summerslam 2001 :)

It's because this shit isn't really worth heel heat. It's boring.

Gertner 12-30-2005 01:43 PM

i don't see what Angle is saying that is that bad. I wasn't offended. and btw JR can stay where he is.

Stickman 12-30-2005 02:16 PM

There's gotta be a better way to get heat than to beat up an announcer.

BY the way, I think they should change Angles music.

You weren't offended, so it wasn't that bad.

Good argument.

And I was a part of the pro-Angle chants at Survivor Series. With mostly the women and little kids cheering for Cena.

But to the original topic, it just seems WWE is trying to hard to keep Cena face and Angle heel. Most of the crowd knows that Cena's run as champion just isn't working right now, but WWE thinks if they try to give Angle more cheap heat, it will work. But with the way things are going, even Cena's initial pop he gets every week will be gone soon.

The real problem is that people like Angle and don't like Cena. Even his youth pop is getting smaller, as well as the initial one he gets.

However, the WWE don't like the fans telling them what to do, and will do their best to establish reality as THEY seem fit.

Remember the Elimination Chamber?

Vince: Who wants an ELIMINATION CHAMBER?
Crowd: *six people cheer, about twice that golf clap, you can actually hear peeople in the front row yawn*

Alright then!

Zen v.W.o. 12-30-2005 04:25 PM

I just want him back cuz the man can call a fucking match, and he actually knows how to show emotion, no matter what the circumstance.

Kane Knight 12-30-2005 04:42 PM

Unfortunately, it's the same two emotions every single time.

Zen v.W.o. 12-30-2005 04:46 PM

Oh my gawd has nothing on the Austin orgasm.

Joey Styles calls a match just as good and doesn't get over excited for his pals nor does he repeat himself every 2 minutes.

Michael Cole isn't as good but when he isn't being told what to say (and it's obvious when he is and isn't), he shows more true emotion than any announcer. Check the Eddie Guerrero vs. Brock Lesnar match for an example.

Kane Knight 12-30-2005 08:56 PM

Don't you get it, Rob? Emotional = good.

Zen v.W.o. 12-31-2005 01:17 AM

Cole is shit. He sounds so phoney.

JR owns everyone. Owns.
