Ricky Steamboat continues to publicly air his interest in working a match with Ric Flair at WrestleMania 22. Although the idea has not yet been formally discussed, Steamboat told Monday Night Mayhem that, assuming Flair was interested, he could probably talk Vince McMahon into the idea. Like Bret Hart, Steamboat labels Kurt Angle as the one wrestler he wishes he could have faced.

From the bottom of my loyal Flair heart, I am begging that this doesn't happen. It would/will only kill the legendary fued these two built. Absolutly not.

I remember in the early to mid 90s WCW used to have Legend matches on Slamboree.

Why can't the WWE build its current and future stars up and you know, actually have them wrestle on the WrestleMania card?

Between Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon and Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat matches, we are running out of room for relevent matches. I bet the WWE Intercontinental Championship or WWE United States Championship won't be on the line this WrestleMania. It's quite disgusting really...

Neither belt was defended at WM 21.

they sure as hell wasn't. The only match off of 21 i was repeatedly is Rey Rey vs Eddie G. That Was Cool :p
