On the RAW after WrestleMania 13, he came out as Diesel and interrupted a match. He talked about how he's not gonna be a corporate puppet and that he'll smack hands with the crowds if there's a black glove on them.

Was this a shoot?

Diesel was long gone before WM 13.

It was a work like pretty much everything in Wrestling.

That was after Wrestlemania 12 in 1996 shortly before he left, because he eventually had a feud with HBK and briefly aligned himself with Dibaise.

I just read the other day that Nash's contract runs through October of this year with 15 appearances left on it. I sorta doubt that if he does appear that he'll actually wrestle. Then again... Nash wasn't exactly known for his wrestling. :)
