My thread was meant as a joke. Even though SGD called me a Jackass b/c he did not understand the meaning of "slainte" - I am finding this pretty damn funny.

I was kinda thinking him returning to the WWE is a bad move, but after seeing SmackDown! this week, I can honestly say he has earnt my support. The match he had with Hardy, while not a classic, was solid, with some very nice spots. I wouldn't have him win too many matches, but the fashion he loses in can keep him over long enough to have solid matches with William Regal, Chris Benoit, Paul Burchill & anyone else talented on the SmackDown! roster.

For some reason, I see a Finlay vs. Kennedy feud being REALLY entertaining.

I find this hilarious, but don't hold your breath on me "joining" you.

I like his innovative style.

I thought Finlay looked really great in his debut. Espicially when he curbed Matt Hardy on the stairs at the end. Also, that knee-drop to the back of his head. I'm guessing it was a sad day for his rabid internet fangirls.

Finlay = Old School = Awesome

I thought Finlay's debut/return was awesome. Him and Mardy put on a great match. Nothing much to it, just good wrestling. And it was nice to see a very different style in the ring. Clearly a European style but quite different from Regal and other such well-known European wrestlers.

Fit Finlay should take Hardcore Holly's place. He plays the big, mean, rookie-hating vet way better than Holly. Plus, people seem to like Finlay backstage.

In all seriousness, if they left him with this gimmick, he could be huge. Don't make him a face, don't make him a heel, just let him be an Irish, possibly drunk asshole who loves to fight. I think the fans could get behind him like this, and dare I say, maybe he could draw. Seriously, put him up against someone like the Undertaker, and have him be totally unaffected by mind games. "So ya wanna play mindgames. Do what ya want... I just wanna kick yar ass ya dead bastard."

I'm telling ya, it could work.
