Games that should have sequels
 

There are a lot of shitty games that come out every month. But sometimes a game goes unoticed, besides a small article of praise in a gaming mag. Sometimes these games get bigger, better sequels. More often than not, they are never heard from again.

Discuss sequels you'd like to see. Or even games that had a sequel, that you would like to see another of.

Psi-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Honestly, one of the most straight up, fun games I've ever played. Amazed no one came up with the concept sooner. The controls are absolutly phenomenal. The ending is actually a cliffhanger, as Midway planned on making more. But sales, unfortunatly, did not warrant a sequel, despite this games' awesomeness. If you havn't played it, go to your local gameshop and pick it up for only $10. Well worth it.

Freedom Fighters
Really cool storyline, great gameplay, and fantastic level design make this game a good pickup at $10, used. It's squad based, but more action oriented than games like socom, or rainbow six. You can give your soldiers 1 of 3 simple commands, and then shoot away. It's not as deeply tactical as those other games. More about plain old, blowing shit up. So much they could do with a sequel, though.

Manhunt

I thought Freedom Fighters was terrible but definitly thought Psi-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy was sick.

Suikoden 2. Yes there's been 2 (soon to be 3) other Suikoden games since this one, but none have followed up the Suikoden 2 story.

From a purely gameplay standpoint: Mercenaries.

I'd give my left testicle for a REAL Final Fantasy Tactics sequel (or half a dozen). That GBA game does not count since it blew.

Team Buddies and Jedi Power battles

I would like to see Beyond Good and Evil II, because the first one was fucking immense.

Also, another Monkey Island and Grim Fandango.

Super Mario RPG. Not PaperMario or Mario and Luigi, but a direct sequel to Super Mario RPG.

Same style (so I guess it'd have to be for GBA), and same characters, same world (though naturally with more locations)

That's ok. The PSP is so powerfull it will probably emulate the DS one day. :p

When it comes out, the need will be filled..

yeah a sequel to McKids (or McDonald Land as it was known here) would be good.

Street Fighter 4 would be nice. Fuck, if not for all the remakes, we'd probably be at Street Fighter 12 by now.

Mario & Luigi 2 = ratings. So does Viewtiful Joe. So does Meteos. So does Kirby Canvas Curse. Mario Kart is pretty hot too, although not like the other in the franchise. Also, backward compatibility with GBA games is greatness. Also not every game uses both screens. Mario Kart basically uses it as a map of the course.

How does that suck exactly?

And the PSP has some great NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, and even GBA emulators for it. Although you do have to buy a memory stick with higher copacity to hold all the ROMs.

There are flash cards for the GBA that allow you to play emultaors on the GBA, and thus the DS, as well. I've never used one, but they work as I've heard...

The sweet Spider-Man and Venom games that were in the SNES. Both games were absolutely fantastic. It would be sweet now, because they can take the same gameplay, but add more moves, levels, better graphics, more building climbing.
