Dream main-event confirmed for Ring Of Honor show
Submitted by Brian Cantor on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 1:41 AM EST

<!-- UGO Promotional Code --><!-- End UGO Promotional Code -->Ring Of Honor's Gabe Sapolsky confirmed that the big main-event for Ring Of Honor's 3/25 Manhattan show will be Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson against KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji.

KENTA and Marufuji previously appeared in singles matches on ROH's "Final Battle 2005" card, but they have never before teamed in the United States.

This match is badass all around.

Still has nothin on Storm - Danielson

Fignuts 02-05-2006 02:42 AM

You have obviously never seen KENTA and Marufuji.

Maybe 6 or 7 years ago Danielson/Storm would have been a dream match. Hell it still is, but not as much as the former, anymore.

Fignuts 02-05-2006 02:44 AM

Joe's chops versus Kenta's kicks will probably destroy the entire arena. I still remember watching Kobashi/Joe. The chops were litterally as loud as gunshots.

Those two matches are worlds apart. Storm is a totally different style of wrestler than KENTA/Marufuji, and even Joe to an extent. Not better, just different.

Also, they need to bust out the shoulder lift/Top rope Baisaku knee on Joe.

I've had the Kobashi/Joe match on my computer for ages, but I still haven't watched it :-\

Don't turn the volume too high when you do. The pop at Kobashi's entrance will shatter your windows.

I've seen both, but the tag match also has Joe, who I am not at all impressed with.

I'm just getting introduced to Kenta. I'm not to knowledgeable about wrestling outside of WWE or TNA, but from the few Kenta matches I've seen, the guy is absolutely amazing and a wonder to watch. Marufuji sounds familiar (as if I've heard people talk about him before), so this sounds pretty cool.

IF you go to the thread where I posted some Japanese matches and clips, Marufuji is the guy KENTA teams with to fight Misawa and Ogawa. I also just posted a match that happened last month between Marufuji and KENTA. Great shit. If I'm right on the dates, I think Shelton and HBK ripped off a few spots (The jump to the top enziguri, and the jump to the top superplex... Although in the KENTA match, it was a top rope Falcon Arrow. There's also a Shiranu/Slice BRead #2 off the apron to the floor in the match.. Great shit, go watch it.)

Just watched it. Goddamn, that was a match and a half.

I don't know if there's enough money in the world to convince me to take one of Kobashi's chops.

Hey Blitz, do you mind loading that match on here that you just watched?(is that even possible?I don't know how that stuff works)
