Does anyone know which themes WWE owns the rights to?

And which themes are owned by guys like Jimmy Hart or whatever.

Because this will allow me to put some entrance themes back up on TPWW.

Any ideas?

ask this guy TerranRich. He knows everything about themes apparently.

OR go here

themes.xylot.com

Everything is owned by somebody, so you would probably eventually have to contend with the RIAA.

It won't let me register because of some server error or something, so what is it?

Nervous Ferret 02-19-2006 11:39 PM

Legally, the RIAA can only go after folks affiliated with them. Of course, they've gone after others too, but it's unlikely Hart would be involved, and the money's not there for them to go after Trips, so he's pretty safe.

I would imagine any of the TNA themes are either Hart compositions or public domain production themes.

I know that the old Hardy Boyz theme (before the Monster Magnet version that Matt uses now) is public domain. Ditto the old Hollys theme. The one that Crash used in his solo career. I've heard both of those themes used as BGM for commercials and stuff, and I know they wouldn't pay WWE for that music, because it's so generic they could have just used a production theme anyway.

Loopy, you're partially right. If they were public domain, they could put them on WWF/E the music records, which they couldn't.

I believe Too Cool's theme (the one they used before the one Scotty uses now, aka Rikishi's face theme) is the same.

I heard Steve Blackman's theme in porn one time.

mrslackalack 02-20-2006 10:02 PM

The music on their CD's they own. But not songs like The Hardyz or Batistas 1st theme among others.

Kane Knight 02-21-2006 12:50 AM

You know, thinking of Steve Blackman while watching a porno would probably kill my fucking hardon.

Skippord 02-21-2006 01:11 AM

I would mark out for the music

Kane Knight 02-21-2006 10:56 AM

You've been KKK'd!

Unless it's real music, chances are the WEE own it. Public domain music is mince anyway.

TerranRich 05-15-2006 01:15 PM

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but I felt it still needs to be answered for Triple A.

If you go to http://www.fuzionx.us/ and browse through the WWE themes it will tell you which ones are "production themes" and which ones aren't. Production themes are licensed from outside companies like www.extrememusic.com and www.nonstopmusic.com. The licensing on those are very strict.
