I have never felt the need to go back and forth posting yet, then again, I've only been here a couple weeks and this is a discussion forum and my favorite is in question... I'm going to break it down and reply in little bits and pieces... :naughty:

Wrong. You didn't see Brock Lesnar going over Scotty 2 Hotty in a big push, did you? What I meant by credibility, is that at any point and time, if The Rock beats someone, it is quite believable. He is quite over. And at the same time this allows The Rock to give credibility and hugely help pushes of opponents who beat him. He is a strong wrestler in terms of that.

It was never The Rock's sharpshooter and it is not a move he tries to steal. Bret Hart was one of The Rock's favorites and his doing the sharpshooter is a sign of respect. He might not do it like Bret, by a longshot or not, but he doesn't *botch* the move. It is hard to let guys reach for the ropes like so many do in wrestling today when you sit down and apply 255 pounds of weight on their legs. It is loosely applied for a reason.

Just because i'm not a mark i still expect to be entertained, i still winced when Goldberg speared Nunzio at the Rumble, R.V.D's spots still get the odd 'Holy S*it' outta me, i like to almost forget that it's not 'real' & pathetic finishers like The Peoples elbow don't exactly take your breath away, especially when your seeing it for the 200th time.

To clear this up, I was referring to the Rock Bottom which is clearly the finisher he uses now. The Peoples' Elbow almost never gets a pinfall anymore, especially against the top of the card he usually faces. And he hardly does it every match.

He comes & goes from Hollywood as he pleases while other guys work there asses off to try & get outta the mid-card. There's a dozen guys on the roster that i'd rather see wrestle @ a ppv & compared to most of the legends the WWE have had in the past he looks very ordinary. I said in my post that i understand WHY the company still uses him & i'm not in any way saying he does nothing for the company, I wouldn't use the word useless ...... i'd settle for over-rated.

Now here I wasn't sure what to put because you mentioned the fact that he's paid his dues, say he makes ratings, and gets fan pops, but then talk about the mid-carders. The Rock WAS that mid-carder. He got a worse fan reaction than ANY of these guys. He got more heat, on the net, on TV, by the fans, than ANYONE I have ever witnessed for such random hatred. He was "Rocky Maivia," and he was supposed to be a mid-card face! So then he turned heel. Dude he clawed and bit his way up from 'die Rocky die' to arguably one of the most popular and decorated superstars ever, let alone of this time period. I would like to see The Rock return too, but he is not coming back and winning titles - he is putting people over, which is a good thing right now. They need someone like The Rock to help the pushes of some of these guys right now without burying the people they've put 'on top.' Honestly, I do not possibly see how The Rock is overrated considering how far he has come, the fact that he ALWAYS gets a reaction...
What is so overrated? Seriously - no one is Rock worshipping like he is a god or anything. He is quite easily, not overrated.
