Yes, I acctually mark out for Tatanka.

Yeah so? I have to admit I'm glad to see him back. So, are they ever going to go somewhere with him or is this another mid card to fill the roster?

Mr. Nerfect 02-25-2006 09:14 PM

I like Tatanka, and he has been solid since returning, but I don't think teaming him with Matt Hardy is the best move. Team Emo-Casino just doesn't make too much sense if you ask me.

Tatanka could be a solid play in the US Division, but I don't think he should go over too much talent. I see him losing to Sylvan next week.

Danny Electric 02-25-2006 09:19 PM

They have to give him some gold to make up for his mis-use.
Losing his god damn winning streak to ludbig borga grrrrr

mrslackalack 02-25-2006 09:20 PM

I like Tatanka a lot. I hope they use him well in his 2nd stint.

What Would Kevin Do? 02-26-2006 12:36 AM

I have to be honest here, Tatanka is annoying the fuck out of me. It's a shoot back to an era that is gone, and is pretty much laughable. Turning on wrestling to see a wrestling Indian goes back to the days where wrestling fans hid the fact that they were wrestling fans for me. It's embarassing.

Now obviously you can bring up The Boogeyman, and now Burchill the pirate.... The difference, IMO, is that these are obvious jokes, meant to be dumb, funny, and laughable. Tatanka is meant to be taken seriously. Maybe if they made him a stereotypical Indian, I'd like him more :)

McLegend 02-26-2006 12:39 AM

I don't really care about Tatanka anymore, but I respect him for trying to get back into shape.

Gertner 02-26-2006 12:44 AM

he's kinda boring

weather vane 02-26-2006 04:33 AM

I think he looks and works great. He deserves a little push and I would love to see them put the US Title on him. From when I first saw him come back to now, wow. He has made tremendous strides and only looks to be getting better. Get him away from Matt Hardy and let him cut some promos.

What Would Kevin Do? 02-26-2006 04:45 AM

Ugh. Let me ammend what I said a bit. I don't dislike the worker, just the gimmick.

Come on, who wouldn't love a feud between a tobacco smoking indian in Tatanka, and Trevor Murdoch... "You look cold my Injun friend, here, have this blanket..."

Feud of the year. It can all stem from Trevor losing his mobile home in a bet at an Indian Casino.

Mr. JL 02-26-2006 07:06 AM

I find it mildly amusing that they teamed him up with Matt Hardy.

*Insert joke concerning the simularities between Jeff Hardy and Tatanka*

Mr. JL 02-26-2006 07:06 AM

here

What Would Kevin Do? 02-26-2006 07:11 AM

Better yet, let's make a comedy team of Tatanka, Trevor, Goldust, and Eugene.

Stickman 02-26-2006 05:12 PM

He's a roster filler

lol I have to laugh.

Vastardikai 02-26-2006 07:00 PM

With Tatanka back, they can put him in a stable With Lance Cade and Rob Conway. Now, they need to put OJ in a cop outfit and rehire IRS, but put him in the Sailor outfit.

D Mac 02-26-2006 07:06 PM

William Regal should be the construction worker. Being he's a real man's man and all.

Danny Electric 02-26-2006 07:14 PM

The thing is to a certain extent Tatanka isn't really playing a gimmick, he is a native american. To a certain extent, quite stereotypical but still himself.

He's a legend and I won't have a bad word said against him.

McLegend 02-26-2006 07:16 PM

Let's not get a head of ourselves now by calling Tatanka a legend.

Danny Electric 02-26-2006 07:20 PM

He's a legend.
He's my Legend.

D Mac 02-26-2006 07:23 PM

*Does the Tomahawk chop*

Danny Electric 02-26-2006 07:27 PM

Pissed me off the other day when they called it the Samoan Drop :(

FIXED

I really don't care if people think he's a legend, or if he's only there for filler/fodder, or if he gets a push (although him finally lifting a title would be great) I am just glad he's back!

Oh and on the subject of being a legend, isn't Junkyard Dog in the Hall of Fame? If he's a legend then Tatanka definately is!

What Would Kevin Do? 02-27-2006 01:03 AM

Ummmm, no? JYD was pretty damn huge back in his day, and influential. Tatanka was a quasite popular gimmick from the joke era. That's about the same as waiting 10 years and saying Val Venis is a legend.

Fine, Tatanka and Val are legends. So are Doink, Bashtion Booger, The Goon, The Berserker, Mantaur, The Godfather, A-Train (HipHop Hippo), Savio Vega, Crush, and Lita.

I have nothing but respect for Tatanka, and I hope that they push him to the US title for a solid 6-10 month run. I'm not a mark for him, but I could see some use for him.
So Benoit drops the title to JBL somewhere down the line. The writers could set it up where JBL calls out any one from the US to fight for the US title (just a dig so Benoit can't go for it) to fight for the US title, and Tatanka comes out. So The Wrestling God talks about how Tatanka is a washed up has been who'll never make it into the hall of fame, blah blah blah. JBL turns his back on Tatanka, in mid promo, turns back around after making a racist joke just to get hit with The End Of The Trail.
I could see that.
If you don't want to put JBL there, just take any random heel that Tatanka can pick up.
