How does one make a gif?

Can i like make something in movie maker and just save it? Or do i need a tool?

I use Adobe ImageReady, though I still don't quite get how to do it with random pics; I can only do it with mov files

I used to do it with Jasc Animation shop.... don't have that anymore though.

i downloaded photoshop and image ready off limewire pro...
got limewire free then downloaded pro off that :lol:
