Thoughts on DX in 1999-2000

DX reunited when they beat down The Rock and Mankind. They later formed the McMahon-Helmsley Faction, Regime, or Facgime.

I believe the memebers of this version was:

Triple H
Stephanie McMahon
Vince McMahon
Shane McMahon
Road Dogg
Billy Gunn
X-Pac
Torrie

Kinda crappy, especially since the McMahons and Tori joined, and Gunn was kicked out (I know he was injured but whatever). I love Vince and Shane, but only a few months prior they were feuding with DX, then they team up. Was pretty dumb. But The Rock vs. the Faction (and their cronies like E&C) was fun to watch.

However I did mark out when they first reunited. Wasn't it NAO vs. Rock/Austin? Followed by HHH and Xpac coming out to help? Can't for the life of me remember why Austin and Rock were tagging, but ok.

yeah, that's it

When it first happened it was incredible. Seeing Austin and Rock layed out by DX was a fantastic mark out moment. Their humor was gone, however DX wasn't too bad until Stephanie started hanging around, then when Gunn left and Tori started fucking X-Pac or whatever it went to shit.

PullMyFinger 04-10-2006 04:15 PM

I don't think so. I think it was Triple H against them..and then X Pac came in followed by the Outlaws.

I forget, but whatever, DX was awesome! WWE had all the creative juices flowing back then. All the DX eras were good, but my favorite would have to be when HHH took the leadership role and NAO+X Pac joined. The Corporation vs. DX was a great feud, and back then being the mark that I was...I WAS SO PISSED AS TO WHY TRIPLE H TURNED HIS BACK ON DX AT WRESTLEMANIA!

Yeah, I think Torrie really killed it.

October 25, 1999 - The Rock and Steve Austin were battling then WWF Tag Team Champions the New Age Outlaws when X-Pac and Triple H came out with the new designed DX Jersey, they leveled everyone, Billy then delievered a Jackhammer to Austin and everyone gave the over the head DX sign on the turnbuckles as Raw went off the air.

Trust me, one of the biggest mark out moments of my life, I remember it like it was yesterday.

PullMyFinger 04-10-2006 04:22 PM

lol I'll take your word for it. I forgot...wasn't too clear for me. I just remember back then being in 8th grade...being nagged by my mom to go to sleep...and then marking out like mad man at 11:05 pm when that happened. LOL

Savio 04-10-2006 04:58 PM

I consider that "Corprate DX"

yea, me too. I think I've went back and watched this ike 50 times by now. I remember when I first saw it and like X-pac came in and hit the wheel kick on Rock, my eyes lit up cause you just knew. And HHH was all the way up on the stage with Austin and I was thinking "come on HHH, get the fuck in the ring." Then Billy hits the Jackhammer right in sync with the "BREAK IT DOWN" and I flipped. good times.

Loose Cannon 04-10-2006 05:05 PM

lol and I'll always remember X-pac being real excited about the new DX shirts. He was screaming for one of the crew members to give them to him and then he tossed one to the other 3 members. When he tossed one to Billy, he just hit him in the face, cause he had just hit the Jackhammer and wasn't paying attention

Does anyone have a youtube of this or something?

It was strange sort of heel DX. Not one of my favourite eras with no real significant moments. Just another case of bookers clinging onto the past.

Although it's almost been six years and according to Jim Cornette's six year storyline theory, we're due another reincarnation.

The Greater Power 04-11-2006 10:52 AM

Yeah, this will go down as one of my favorite moments ever. If anyone has this one their computer, I'd love to have it.

I remember X-Pac used to run around with that Energy drink

Also, I remember they had that Panasonic Boombox which they were plugging and they used in in a skit. They thought Austin was in the building, but ended up outside blowing up the DX Express

Woah, was Steph topless in that vid, but covering up her bits?

Dave Youell 04-12-2006 01:04 AM

Oh nevermind I can see her dress, it was strapless, ahh well.......

Batsu 04-15-2006 04:18 PM

The HHH-Gunn-Dogg-X-Pac heel DX was great.

When it became the Fac-gime, and especially sans Billy ... it was crap.
