Boogey sidelined until September/October

The Boogeyman had surgery to repair his torn biceps on Tuesday, April 4th. The Boogeyman toree his biceps during a house show match with Booker T the week before Wrestlemania. The Boogeyman will be out of action until at least September or October. The Boogeyman's injury is the reason for the restraining order angle on Smackdown. The Boogeyman will turn 42 years old on Halloween.

LOP.

Tazz Dan 04-17-2006 07:34 AM

Well, The Boogeyman if it was on The Boogeyman LOP it must The Boogeyman be The Boogeyman True.

The Boogeyman :shifty:

Kane Knight 04-17-2006 09:24 AM

YAY! This time I hope LoP is actually accurate.

loopydate 04-17-2006 12:18 PM

He works better as a pop-up-out-of-nowhere-during-backstage-segments than as a wrestler, anyway. This is probably a good thing.

St. Jimmy 04-17-2006 01:12 PM

LOL.

oh noes, there goes his world title push :shifty:

Lords Of Pain its a website

Mr. Nerfect 04-18-2006 07:16 AM

I don't ever usually wish harm on a man, but this is probably better for SmackDown!. If they want to bring Marty Wright back, bring him back as Marty Wright.

D Mac 04-18-2006 02:35 PM

Keep him as Boogey but turn him heel.

I won't wish harm on him, but I'm glad he's off my screen. Hell, I feel bad for him. Not only because he's injured, but because he probably doesn't deserve this stupid gimmick.

Two different things. I actually feel bad that he's injured, but I sure won't miss him on TV either. In fact, I'd do a snoopy dnace if my knees were any better.

Savio 04-18-2006 02:50 PM

I only was him wrestle for like 5 seconds through out his whole career.

Gray 04-18-2006 02:58 PM

Eating live worms and getting paid for it.

Dont think Steve Irwin is that crazy, i generally change the channel when hes on screen anyway, cant stand it, just sick :/

I think most rational wrestling fans in general do.

The Boogeyman, Umaga, and the Sprit Squad are all textbook examples of gimmicky roles that were once highly overused in the 80's & early 90's. I'm thinkin' maybe Vinnie Mac has gone literally insane.

Bringing back all this gimmicky crap and doin' all this sacreligious "God" stuff. :wtf: It even appears in some of the segments as if Shane McMahon has the "What the Fuck are you thinkin'" expression when Vince says or does something[mostly in the church segment  "Who Am I[Vince proceeds to drink holy water and do the worst HHH impression of all time].

It'll be interesting to see what happens @ Backlash.

But, as far as "The Boogeyman" is concerned, I'd be perfectly content if he were released.

LK 04-19-2006 08:29 AM

I'm not seeing this news anywhere else.

Do you have numbers to back this up? Or by "PEOPLE" do you mean "KANE KNIGHT?"

Xero 04-19-2006 01:31 PM

You do realise I was responding directly to the opinion some issued that they think "most rational wrestling fans in general [change the channel]," right?

No, I'm really not. Just lazy.

I was skimming the thread and found your post and thought "There he goes again."

Should have found the context first.

Nark Order 04-19-2006 02:41 PM

LOL. What does the Boogeyman ever do that would spawn an injury? His matches are literally less than a minute long, he never takes any bumps, and he uses very simple moves.

Yeah, you really should have. At least enough of my post to see the part of the context that was actually QUOTED for people's convenience.

NoDQ.com > WWE > News: Boogeyman injury, Ashley in Playboy
Posted by Aaron Rift on 04/19/2006 at 08:27 PM

- As noted, The Boogeyman had surgery to repair his torn biceps on Tuesday, April 4th. The Boogeyman torn his biceps during a house show match with Booker T the week before Wrestlemania. He'll will be out of action at least 4 months but it could end up being longer.

- Dave Meltzer is also reporting that there have already been talks between the WWE and Playboy regarding Ashley Massaro posing for the magazine next year before Wrestlemania 23. Ashley has already posed for the magazine before.

There its from a different source

Kane Knight 04-19-2006 08:53 PM

And NoDQ is a bit more reliable. Mostly because 40% of their stuff is borderline STOLEN from other sources.

Ashley? Why not someone we haven't seen?

loopydate 04-19-2006 09:08 PM

Probably 'cause nobody we haven't already seen would be willing to do it. Trish, Lita & Stacy have turned Playboy down over the years, we've seen Torrie & Candice, and Mickie has posed nude. I'd rather see Maria, personally.

But what about the Spirit Squad?!? (Hey, if I'm going to admit to liking characters that others don't, I must be gay for them, right?)

redoneja 04-19-2006 09:31 PM

Just a little off topic but Maria would be my choice. :y:

I think you went "gay" for them when you started jumping over how amazing they were in some pretty bland matches.

You can argue what they did in OVW was great, but you were creaming yourself over them like several folks were doing when Burchall was doing nothing and finishing with an armbar. That's gaytarded.

That kind of bandwagon jumping is idiotic (On top of the fact that you tried to say Xero's response, turning the channel, was proof of a good heel angle), because few wrestlers of potential ever show it when they come up to WWE. Not to mention you creamed yourself over every single thing they did, much like the REATARDS who were all OMG THAT ARMBAR WAS SICK when Burchill came on.

It's not so much being a fan, but the retarded lengths to which you are going to be a fan of something other people don't like.

loopydate 04-19-2006 11:31 PM

I can see where you're coming from (though I don't agree with you) on every point but this: When did I say that turning the channel was the mark of a good heel?

And I also wish you wouldn't group me in with the Burchill lovers. I thought he was a talented wrestler when he came in, but I didn't really start enjoying him until they let him have a personality and expanded his moveset beyond the aforementioned armbar. I like a wrestler with personality, which is why I like the Spirit Squad, Pirate Paul, Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, and to a lesser degree the Boogeyman.

Call it bandwagon jumping or whatever, but when I get to see talented newcomers getting to play something other than a "BAH GAWD BLUE-CHIPPER" I get excited. And, I don't know what bland matches you've been watching. Yeah, they've been pretty short up to this point, but I'd argue their 5-minute handicap clusterfucks have been more entertaining than almost any 10-minute promo or Mark Henry/Great Khali/etc. squash.

I'm mocking you, because Xero expressed a lack of interest, and you tried to defend it as "Good heel work," blatantly ignoring that he was alluding to not watching them.
