TNA Lockdown

So every match on the PPV is going to be a cage match. Do you think this is a good idea? It's different, but is it really a good thing? Thoughts?

-edit- Didn't know that they've already done this last year but i'd still like to hear your thoughts because for some odd reason I trust you people. :shifty:

Wait, every match is a cage match? That's fucking awful.

D Mac 04-19-2006 06:05 AM

Yeah, it's being dubbed "Six Sides of Steel."

I thought last years show was decent, it's something different.

Even though every match was inside a cage last show, every match wasn't treated like a cage match, if that makes any sense

Hired Hitman 04-19-2006 06:36 AM

A "World War Three" cage match would be better :-\

LETHAL LOCKDOWN MATCH
STING, AJ STYLES, RHINO & THE TRUTH vs.
JEFF JARRETT, SCOTT STEINER & AMERICA'S MOST WANTED
The cage will be covered – weapons hanging!

I think they're trying to make that match look like Wargames, where 2 wrestlers enter first and in 2 minutes another enters so on and so forth.

rko4life 04-19-2006 07:10 AM

i no why!! maybe thay are too poor to have a thing that lifts up the cage.. so they have to have every match inside it.. :shifty:

Maybe they've blown the budget on goldberg

Including Bullet Bob in an arm wrestling match.

Let me say that again:

Including Bullet Bob in an arm wrestling match.

I think its pointless tbh, but it seems to be a gimmick they're using for this PPV, and atleast they havent had any cage matches since the last time they did this.Still a stupid idea though.

TerranRich 04-19-2006 11:31 AM

GAY.

94 SVT Cobra 04-19-2006 11:37 AM

Is this a feeble atempt at tryin to say theyve had more cage matches then wwe once this event has happened roughly 10-20 times?

PullMyFinger 04-19-2006 12:31 PM

I think they're doing it again because apparantly last time around the buyrates for Lockdown was one of the more successful PPVs.

With 18 buys!

I have my reservations about Lockdown, but I'm not immediately shooting it down. On one hand, every match is a cage match, and too many cage matches are boring. On the other hand, every match is a cage match, and cage matches are awesome.

TNA have a lot of talent that can probably pull off good to great cage matches. I'm actually excited to see/hear how Abyss and Christian Cage turns out.

Because what does a mark love more than brutality.

And arm wrestling matches.

Come on, that's where the ratings are. Stallone would have been huger than Arnold if Over the Top had an arm wrestling match inside a cage.

Kane Knight 04-19-2006 01:55 PM

I think they've just been playing SVR06 too much. When I need to spike ratings, cage matyches are one of my big fallbacks.

I bet AJ Styles made himself and got his ass kicked by Bastista.

There was one on Impact a couple of weeks back.
