Rate the Tag Team - Week 52 - Billy & Chuck
http://www.wrestlingworld.it/Histori...illyechuck.jpg
Word up everyone? I'm sorry this is so damn late but I have been lazy. :p Last time we rated the team The Orient Express. They scored a pretty low score of 61 but I can't say they don't deserve it. They were good for what they were anyways. This week we are going to rate a team that people have begged me to do for a while now. HERE WE GO! YOU LOOK SOOOOOO ... GOOD TO ME! This is a team who was very entertaining and decent in the ring. They had a gimmick of two homosexuals who eventually decided to get married. They captured the WWE tag team titles twice and had a great stylist in Rico. They also won on the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. They defeated some of the best in The Hardy Boys, APA, and The Dudleys. This is Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo ... Billy & Chuck! <select><option>RTTT History by Week <option>Week 1: The Rockers (87) <option>Week 2: The Dudley Boyz (82) <option>Week 3: The American Males (39) <option>Week 4: Power and Glory (62) <option>Week 5: The Road Warriors (97) <option>Week 6: Harlem Heat (91) <option>Week 7: Twin Towers (62) <option>Week 8: The Hart Foundation (96) <option>Week 9: The Steiner Brothers (93) <option>Week 10: The Eliminators (83) <option>Week 11: The Headbangers (68) <option>Week 12: Pretty Wonderful (69) <option>Week 13: Strike Force (85) <option>Week 14: The Brain Busters (94) <option>Week 15: The Killer Bees (63) <option>Week 16: The World's Greatest Tag Team (85) <option>Week 17: The Bodydonnas (62) <option>Week 18: The Hardy Boyz (90) <option>Week 19: The Impact Players (82) <option>Week 20: The New Age Outlaws (88) <option>Week 21: Doom (63) <option>Week 22: Men On A Mission (41) <option>Week 23: Triple X (81) <option>Week 24: The Nasty Boys (77) <option>Week 25: The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (80) <option>Week 26: The Outsiders (86) <option>Week 27: The Insiders (44) <option>Week 28: The Rock N' Roll Express (96) <option>Week 29: Owen Hart and British Bulldog (91) <option>Week 30: America's Most Wanted (62) <option>Week 31: The Dream Team (75) <option>Week 32: The Boogie Knights (47) <option>Week 33: The Collosal Connection (66) <option>Week 34: The Thrill Seekers (56) <option>Week 35: The British Bulldogs (98) <option>Week 36: The Minnisoda Wrecking Crew (90) <option>Week 37: The Pitbulls (53) <option>Week 38: The APA (78) <option>Week 39: The Hollywood Blondes (87) <option>Week 40: The Naturals (61) <option>Week 41: The Powers of Pain (55) <option>Week 42: Edge and Christain (95) <option>Week 43: Money Inc. They were funny but they were also a good technical team.

Great Entertainers and not bad in-ring skills aswell.

Pure LOL. 6.

A shockingly good team. I was amazed that they actually got to a level of credability ripping off the SNL Gay Duo at every turn, but they did it.
Solid 8 team. |
8, just because I am shocked they got this shit over.

They entertained the hell out of me. I also enjoyed them in the ring. They were at a house show here in the summer of 2002 and were one of the highlights of the show (The whole show was actually amazing surprisingly). They worked the crowd well as well as each other.:shifty: |

Not really a fan of either solo, but together they were good stuff. |

Billy Gunn was already well past his prime at this point, but being a part of a comedy tag team was just what he needed. Notice how his subsequent "serious" tag teams with guys like Big Show and Hardcore Holly bombed. His in-ring work was no longer good enough to carry a serious team. Chuck Palumbo is one of my favorite underutilized talents of the last five/six years or so, and he really benefited from the rub (no pun intended) he got from teaming with the veteran Gunn. Unfortunately, after the poorly-planned wedding angle, WWE promptly forgot how much heat this guy was drawing and buried him on Velocity before releasing him. But for those few years when they were together, these two were consistently among the more entertaining segments on WWE programming, and they had excellent chemistry as a tag team. |
Ditto. 8.

6 at best. They get extra points for being a "real" tag team, not a thrown together job, although they never got the good ol' Team Name.
