Edit: BTW, that guy who is playing masked Kane does it pretty well - he copied Kane's 1998 entrance and 'actions' (ie, the head movement, the glove pulling) PERFECTLY. Only thing that wasn't below perfect was his size; I don't care too much about the hair for now.:D

Meh, I'm just a huge Kane mark.:p But I don't think much of fake Kane's movements looked bad at all - I just compared Kane's entrance at WM14 against the masked Kane's entrance and all that I noticed different (apart from size difference) was fake Kane completely stopped at the entrance for a second, and real Kane 'waddled' more as well as did his awesome scissor-like hand movements while he walked to the ring. The rest was almost exactly the same.

Edit: Oh, and just realised, thanks to your site, that it was actually Kane's 2nd theme being played on Raw, not his first.

BTW, this masked Kane is apparently very popular among the marks - people from school who watch wrestling, as well as other friends, found it pretty cool - their memory isn't the best as they said nothing at all about the messed hair - all they noticed was the size.

Apparently Vince wasn't happy with the segment and there's talk of dropping the angle all together with no explanation.

Might explain the lack of coverage on WWE.com.

I hastily submitted a script this morning for this. Where next week, they show a "previously on Raw" segment dealing with fake Kane, and then we see Kane wake up in bed, screaming, and realise it was all a dream. Then he rolls over and screams, realising he's married to Lita, and then he screems again, and it pans out to show Edge and Foley in bed with him too.

This sets up a swerve where they become a hardcore porn stable.

It's Wrestlecrap enough to sell.

I actually really enjoyed the RAW angle.

It's the eventual PPV match/shit-fest that worries me.

They can't just drop it like that. Even if it's a crappy quick conclusion, they need one. It's really one of those storylines that needs some closeur.

They should just have Paul Bearer, Seven (Kevin Fertig) or The Undertaker come out and admit they were behind it, then have Kane Chokeslam them and go crazy. Kane putting the mask back on may actually limit him at this stage of his career, but Kane going crazy and Chokeslamming everyone and not feeling pain is definately the right way to go.

IMO Kane was much better with the mask. It made him this emotionless monster, who could destroy whatever was in his path without a second thought. His facial expressions kinda kill the character now. If you want someone to be a fucking monster, you should make them as much of a monster as possible. Mask, Voicebox, Tenticles, what have you.
