So I'm watching TNA...

Has TNA ever made a star? I mean half there roster is ex-WWE/WCW stars. Then you have a hand full of indy stars like Chris Daniels, AJ "Faggot" Styles, and so forth. So, is there any of those jokers that TNA acctaully gave a career?

BigDaddyCool 06-08-2006 11:21 PM

I mean the one good thing about TNA is still Kevin Nash. Goddamn, the announcing sucks.

The Icon of Elisim 06-08-2006 11:26 PM

I dunno TNA that well but if I was hard pressed for an answer I'd say Abyss and that black guy

Dorkchop 06-08-2006 11:28 PM

They're in the process of making Somai Joe a star. They tried to make Monty Brown a star, but Monty just isn't ready to make that next step up just yet. I guess Abyss is somewhat of a star.

I see what you mean though. Three of their top four guys are former WCW stars.

Which black guy? Ron Killings or the other one with the pounce? Because none of them are really stars. And ok, Abyss. I'll give them Abyss.

BigDaddyCool 06-08-2006 11:31 PM

Konnan sucks.

The Icon of Elisim 06-08-2006 11:40 PM

I was talking about the Pounce guy. I havent watched since Christian first showed up so I dunno what they've done lately

Shadow 06-09-2006 12:16 AM

After watching tonights ep of Impact I know know there's a Hell MI.

Skippord 06-09-2006 12:23 AM

CHRIS FUCKING SABIN

PullMyFinger 06-09-2006 01:06 AM

lol I thought Impact was good overall though. At least the Kevin Nash segment was gold I thought.

"Find me a clone of Chris Sabin. We're going to scout today!" lolol Alex Shelley is so hilarious too..."WHOA!!!" Seeing those two stare down Sabin from the distance just had me cracking.

D Mac 06-09-2006 01:08 AM

Christopher Daniels = FUTURE

Shadow 06-09-2006 01:24 AM

If I were Sabin, during the match with Nash and Shelly looking on, I would've waved at 'em

SoCalVal was on Impact last night so therefore Impact was amazing.

Samoa Joe is riding his indie popularity. Can't really call that "Making him a star."

loopydate 06-09-2006 11:55 AM

So, Nash's warm-up opponent is going to be Shelley, right? I mean, it's obvious Nash is going to turn on him eventually.

Innovator 06-09-2006 11:57 AM

Joe was the man before he got to TNA

Yeah. They're as much making SJ as WWE made Rob Van Dam.

Xero 06-09-2006 12:29 PM

He's the Samoan Submission Machine but they forgot to program most of his moves at the factory.

McLegend 06-09-2006 01:16 PM

Joe is the man in TNA. Btw in case this comes up I have not really seen Joe in ROH.

Arnold HamNegger 06-09-2006 02:47 PM

Did anyone else think it was a joke for 3D to be in the bingo hall and say the fans of TNA are "just like" the fans of ECW and the ECW Arena is "similar" to the Impact Zone? Come on TNA, first you try to ram it down our throats that the NWA Title is the most "prestigious and sought after" Championship in wrestling....and now this. You can't just wave a magic wand in the face of longtime wrestling fans and make them forget the past. Writers, yes...but fans, no.

Mr. Aristocrat 06-09-2006 03:02 PM

To say TNA didn't make AJ, Daniels, Joe, or some other X stars is to forget that there is a pecking order and food chain in the industry. Yeah AJ, Daniels, Joe, and a few others were big on the indy scene, but that's like saying WWE didn't make Steve Austin cause he was already kind of known before he showed up. Before TNA came around, guys like Styles were on the same level as someone like Roderick Strong, who talented as he may be, most people don't give a crap about him. TNA made most every single X-Division star. I might be able to bend and say RoH made Joe on the national level, but in the same breath I should mention RoH in't really at a national level yet since most fans have never even heard of them, where as TNA, most everyone at least knows they are out there even if they don't wish to spend the time to find them.

Austin took off as a superstar only because of his WWF presence.

Joe, Daniels, etc., don't fall into the same sategory. It's not JUST because they were around beforehand.

Also don't really care if you say if Joe is overrated, but hes still no where near the overrated level you put Sabin on.

McLegend 06-11-2006 12:25 PM

Perhaps but Sabin is no where near God level

Kane Knight 06-11-2006 12:49 PM

And TNA Joe is nowhere near anything claimed about him. Your point?
