Is RVD technically the WWE champ AND ECW champ?
 

They haven't done a good job of explaining if he's champion of both promotions, ECW champ who likes to carry around the WWE title, or WWE champ who likes to believe he's the ECW champ?


And technically, if he is the ECW and WWE champ at the same time, why haven't they played up the fact that he's the only person to hold both of those titles at once? Better yet, why haven't they played up the fact that given the fact that the WWE title is the WCW/WWF titles combined, he's the first to hold all 3 at once? Or does that even make sense? :?:

There is no technically about it. He is both WWE and ECW Champ.

Now has to why they don't really talk about it I don't really know why.

I think I know how to explain it. RVD is the ECW Champ. The WWE Championship was renamed the ECW Championship once he won. RVD wears 2 belts because one is the ECW belt and the other spins and he thinks it is funny. So techinally he only holds one title, but carries 2 belts. I have a feeling that he is going to lose the spinning 'WWE' belt but keep the ecw title.

yea, that is why Lillian Garcia on RAW title matches calls him "The Champion", but on ECW TV he is called the ECW Champion. so when he loses it on raw it will be the WWE title again since RAW is not recognizing the difference.

It's funny, because they WERE consistant. They actually explained it away when they said they were renaming the belt. Rob Van Dam went on to say he was going to kep the old belt too. Right now, both belts are the same title, like the Attitde Era Championship and the Spinner belt are the same title, it's just RVD is walking around with both the old and new belt.

Note Melina pointed out her boy Mercury/Nitro (Whichever of the Hardy Boys he is) was the only male with singles gold on the program?

I can see Cena winning the belt at SNME, which would remove the WWE belt from RVD that he carries around. Then I can see them having RVD keep the ECW belt as the ECW Champion and go from there. Just a thought, maybe, maybe not we'll see.

You would think they'd talk about it on Raw. That's where I see inconsistancies. Something brought up on Sci-FI you think would be explain on Raw to the majority of viewers.

That's not inconsistent, it's part of the programming.
