John Cena DVD

John Cena DVD(pal) Available early May in U.K
Price: £13.99
Do you think it will be any good

I hope it good because i'm a john cena fan what do you think

Head 02-08-2004 05:17 PM

Might acually have some pretty good stuff on it.

A collection of his classic raps, along with some of the really good matches he put on in 2003, and maybe throw in a couple of interviews and backstage extras could easily fill 2-3 hours of running time.

Not that I would buy it or anything yet; I usually wait until a wrestler is on the downside of their career, and a DVD covering more area is released, but if you are a big Cena fan, it could turn out to be pretty good.

ilt_undertaker 02-08-2004 05:27 PM

I think they should waited another year, or a least until after WM was over

Longshot 02-08-2004 08:47 PM

Yeah i agree its way too soon for a Cena dvd.

Ricky 02-08-2004 08:48 PM

I refuse to buy a DVD called "Word Life"

It's available in April... Wrestlemania is over.

I think it depends on the content. Hopefully it'll also be music oriented.

CANADIAN 02-08-2004 09:37 PM

WAYYYYY to early..

John la Rock 02-09-2004 12:43 AM

I would much rather see a best of Rock DVD or best of Kurt Angle

It is way too early for the Doctor of Thuganomics

I'm going to assume they meant its too early because Cena really hasn't accomplished anything in his career yet, of course coming out of WMXX hopefully he'll be US Champion so that will be his first title.

He's popular right now, but I do think it's too early. He's my fav wrestler right now, so I'll buy it when every it drops into stores.

The WWE wants to cash in NOW.

I have a feeling they'll shoot their wad too soon on him...

The way I see it, its just a DVD, its not like they are calling it one of the greatest DVD's of all time. I mean they put out a Lesnar DVD after he only had a year or so on TV. Its a good idea to put out a DVD because they want to make him look like something important. He has had a few good matches, and his raps should help sell some DVDs. I mean his deal at Mania wasn't even included on the WM DVD as far as I know, so that kinda stuff might sell some units. He's reached a certain level in his career, they put out a DVD, and that kinda closes a chapter on his career.

Kane Knight 02-09-2004 11:21 PM

Plus, they can milk him with another DVD in another year...

Head 02-09-2004 11:33 PM

We need a best of Steph DVD now. They could put on such great moments as

WEDDINGS WITH:
Test
Triple H
Triple H 2
Undertaker

Bitch slapping Linda
Cat Fight with Sable
Kidnapping Triple H's dog
I Quit match with Vince

And so much more.

Let's not forget her stellar vocal performance on Austin Appreciation Night...

yeah, thats basically what I was thinking.

Kane Knight 02-10-2004 01:00 AM

They might as well...

The fans are all over Cena right now. They got a really lucky break out of it, and it'd be stupid to hold off making money on him...

I think your partically right. The run time for this DVD would be 11 hours, because of who her father is, and just to make it longer than the Ric Flair DVD. But the time it would spend in everyone's dvd player would be 3 mins. :D

Fryza 02-10-2004 06:48 PM

I'd assume them doing a Cena DVD, they might include some of his "Prototype" and early WWE and OVW days too...

I agree with him. :y:

Head 02-10-2004 07:09 PM

He could also use a 150 page autobiography.

He's lived through so much.

Yeah, they'd take three minutes of footage though, and bundle on 12 hours worth of interviews related to that footage. Mostly people kissing her ass for posterity.

I read a review of it somewhere that said there was actually no mention of his feud with Jericho during the summer of 02. Kinda weird.

Im a Cena fan but I dont think I would buy a DVD of his. It would all have to depend whats on it. If whats on its good then I might take a peak at it.

samichna 02-13-2004 12:55 AM

word life 4 lifeeeeeeee

Kane Knight 02-13-2004 01:16 PM

I actually think I'd enjoy the DVD, depending on what's on there...

Supermark101 02-13-2004 07:24 PM

This is from www.highspots.com

The DVD is scheduled to feature a look at Cena's career in WWE as well as bouts against Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Eddy Guerrero, and Kurt Angle.

Extras:

Before They Were Superstars segment on Cena
Behind the scenes look at his YJ Stinger commercial
Cena and Eddy Guerrero in Singapore
Cena in Iraq
A look at his Smackdown Magazine cover shoot, and more.

Sounds ok... I guess

It's not all that exciting though. I suppose they're counting on his name drawing a lot of people in to buy it...

I mean, it's not a bad disc, just kinda lackluster...

If anyone care here is the cover art for the John Cena DVD.
