School for Scoundrels
Anyone else think this movie looks like it'll be comedic gold? Billy Bob Thorton, John Heden, and Ben f'n Stiller! Can't go wrong with Ben Stiller
|
I intend to go just for Billy Bob Thornton alone.
|
John Heder has proven time and time again that he is a capable actor outside his napoleon dynamite role.

I originally liked the guy (because he looks a bit like me), but now I despise him. I'm better looking AND a more comedic actor. :nono:
|
He seems like a nice guy, though, and Billy Bob Thorton is the man. Stiller has the goods, too. :y:

I seriously went like the first 30 minutes without laughing once. It is a below average/average comedy that is pretty predictable. I predicted what was going to happen whilst doing vodka shots. Its that predictable.

David Cross is in it! Now I don't know what to do. Why, David? Why do you need to be in such a crappy movie? |
Saw it last night. Pretty bad. Big disappointment.

Someone explain my feelings towards Jon Heder for me. Everytime I've seen him on like Conan or something, he's a nice guy, and I love him. Everytime I see him in a movie, the movie sucks, his performance comes off like something a high schooler with any ounce of comedic timing could create, and he plays the same character, only with different hair. I hope the guy puts out a good film next year, just so I can get past shit like Napoleon Dynamite, The Benchwarmers and School for Scoundrels (which I haven't seen, and don't plan to, although one of the many women in my life in love with him will probably drag me to see it).
Jon Heder is overrated, I like the guy, but he needs to re-prove himself, in my opinion. |
there were exactly 2 funny moments in that movie. jon heder was not a part of either of them.

The movie had potential to be really good...sadly, it wasn't. =/
|
It was pretty good..
Billy Bob is the man.. Nice twists.. |
And it lasted about a month in the theaters.
