2 Cold Scorpio signs
Credit: thewrestlinganswer.com
2 Cold Scorpio has been signed to a three year deal with WWE according to Mike Johnson. Scorpio had a tryout match a few weeks back in a dark match against Rene Dupree. According to sources, Booker T had been pushing for him to get hired. There's no word yet as to what brand Scorpio will be assigned to yet. |
:y:
Haven't seen him work in ages, here's hoping he's still the goods in the ring. |
ECW?
LOL. Seriously, WWE is so fucking desperate for ANY name value that might bring in even one single fan. Not saying he isn't talented, cause he is, but they are really just signing any name that is still active. They are starting to make WCW look like it was a breeding ground for young talent. LOL.
FUCK YEAH! I hope they do put him in ECW.

Judging from Hardcore Homecoming 2005, he looks in MUCH better now than he ever did. Fuck, he has a 6 pack! Still has a fat ass though. =/
I am all for bringing Scorpio in.The man can STILL put on quality matches, in many peoples opinion he is in the best ring shape of his life, and I couldn't be more happier to be able to see him again.
I just hope he goes to ECW. Scoripio/Punk would be the best, a Van Dam Scorpio match could be good, not to mention so more Scorpio/Sabu. Could be good. Though, he would probably get a better run on SD! with the likes of Finley/Kennedy/Regal/Benoit/ and Booker. Either way, I can't wait. |
I dunno...DX battling with Cade, Murdoch, Big Show and the returning McMahons....and all of a sudden, Scorpio Races to the ring in a glitter outfit with plunging neckline.....Bah Gawd, its Flash Funk, Flash Funk has joined DX....it writes itself ;) :$
Its inveitable, but I hope the is 2 cold scorpio and not flash funk. Scorpio has always been one of the consummate performers and could really help out, if only he had charisma.
Who? I'm thinking he's one of the black guys on one of the ECW dvds but I can't think of who he is because he's not a name most know. 3 Way dance in a match with Jericho?
I'm thinkng Flash Funk was a black guy that wore neon and was a little chubby. He did a top rope finisher? Am I way off base here? |
4 way dance but yes.
I haven't seen too much of him, but he seems to be liked, so I want to see what he can do, before I make a judgment.
LOL. Remember when Scorpio was in the J.O.B. Squad?
He should form a tag team with The Great Kahli.
The Great Khali and The Giant Dong. :shifty: |
This will be awesome so long as they do not call him Flash Funk
Scorpio
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH FLASH - You are so FUNKEH.
Stick him in ECW and team him with the Sandman. Oh, and sign Woman onto the active roster and put her in their corner.

Too Cold for WWE
By Craig Tello September 21, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...orpioshaed.jpg On Thursday, World Wrestling Entertainment officials hired ring veteran Charles Scaggs – better known as Too Cold Scorpio or Flash Funk in his WWE days in the late 1990s. A former ECW Television Champion and ECW and WCW Tag Team Champion, an elated Scaggs spoke with WWE.com and offered his personal thoughts on his return. “I’m really excited to be back in WWE,” Scaggs said. “I’ve had the opportunity to be all around the world and I’ve learned that if you’re going to be with the best, you may as well compete with the best, and the best is WWE.” According to Scaggs, he has spent the last seven years in Japan where he competed in the ring with some of the most decorated and feared Japanese stars. Before commencing negotiations with WWE officials, Scaggs earned multiple championships overseas. Scaggs told WWE.com that he looks forward to once again compete in front of the WWE fans – whether it be on RAW, SmackDown or even ECW. “It doesn’t matter which brand I sign out with,” he declared, “I will be the new person to reckon with. I’m planning on coming back in shape, I’m planning on moving right to the top and, hopefully, trying to take it to another level.” <SCRIPT type=text/javascript>DisplayAd("LargeBody");</SCRIPT> The risk-taking, high-flying Scaggs is anxious to step between the ropes of a WWE ring, and he assured that when the time is right, he will put the WWE on ice. “You can expect to see all that you’ve seen before and then some,” he added. “When I come back, I’m going to show the WWE fans that I am too cold.” http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/toocoldsigned |
I'm not excited. I've said it before and there's nobody of any name power left for a come back to be huge news. Rock would be the only one. SCSA to an extent. Jericho sorta, that's it.
Your looking at this all wrong. This isn't about name power. This is about a really good talent that can spice up the mid-card. No ones claiming that he's is going to chnage the face of professional wrestling, but I am claiming that at least we will have another wrestler that can really go.
Wrestlers capable of putting on 5* matches on any given night in the WWE today: John Cena (I'm sure he's got it in there) Kenny (yeah) Carlito Egde Randy Orton HBK Shelton Super Crazy Triple H Booker Kennedy Helms Benoit Finlay Noble Flair Regal Taker RVD Punk Pretty short list really. Add Scorpio on there and things only get better. |
I gotta disagree with your statement
Wrestlers capable of putting on 5* matches on any given night in the WWE today: John Cena (I'm sure he's got it in there): Do I even need to explain why you're wrong here? Kenny (yeah): He seems like he might be able to put on a decent 5 minute match. Carlito: He seems very limited in his moveset to put on a 5*. I may be wrong Egde: I do agree here Randy Orton: Again I do agree but there's a garunteed botch in any longer match he has HBK: This guy breaths 5* Shelton: Needs a good opponent to go higher than 4* Super Crazy: Haven't seen enough. Great at spots Triple H: See HBK Booker: Terrible. Kennedy: haven't seen enough Helms: I'm not sure if he can put on a 5*, he seems to have all the tools but not the opportunity Benoit: See HHH Finlay: Solid worker, great at putting guys over, 5* is debatable Noble: I think you're right Flair: Is not capable anymore. Chop after chop, low blow, stupid flip over the ropes, the guy cannot put on a 3* by himself Regal: See finlay Taker: Has he ever had a 5*? RVD: Definatly Punk: I've only seen like 4 3 minute matches. |
You saying Booker is terrible negated your entire opinion.
Maybe terrible was a bad word to use. I can't stand watching the guy because outside of the ring he's terrible. Inside the ring he is decent. I've never been entertained by him.
Anywho, the point wasn't who's good. The point was there aren't that many that are good enough to put on a 5* star match on comand. You taking people away from my list only furthers the need for more talent that can actually wrestle. And that's where Scorpio fits in.

Good point. But can a 40 somehting guy who only had a cup of coffee in the WWE/F put on consistant 3+* matches? There has to be a reason he hasn't had much WWE/WCW success. |
He is better now than he ever has been, watch ANY of his recent over sea's work to see. Or you could watch his match at Hardcore Homecoming to see him completely out perform Kid Kash. Kash is BLOWN UP in about 6 minutes of wrestling. Scorpio never sucks wind even at the then age of 39 during a 23 minute match. WCW/WWF had no idea how to use him. I'm not sure the WWE does now, but I think in ECW (given how Punk is being used) I think they can handle him there. Given how How Finlay and Regal are finally be used correctly I think SD! can handle him. I think he has the best chance of his career giving the current state of the WWE.
I would put him on RAW to feud with Shelton Benjamin. That would be some sweet ass shit. It seems to fit with Shelton's whole "because I'm black thing". An athlete comes along, gets more recognition, and he's black. Perfect jealousy feud.
Also, WWE has been hiring older verterns to help train and teach the younger talent. Scorpio is perfect for this.
Rep to the first person to name the Funkettes.
