nWo

How will this nWo vs. DX feud play out?

I see Shane and Vince bringing in the nWo next week

Will Hogan join? I remember Hogan saying that if is was Austin vs. Hogan at Mania, people would still cheer him (as a heel)

St. Jimmy 10-04-2006 06:50 PM

Austin would be an amazing heel to Hogan, much like HBK. That being said, I don't see nWo vs. DX happening anytime this century.

Destor 10-04-2006 06:52 PM

In a Austin/Hogan fued book them both as face and let the crowd decide. (I guess Austin would be more of an Anti-face, thus easier to boo, but I stand by it.)

but isn't there that Survivor Series poster? I thought it was legit

Destor 10-04-2006 06:54 PM

As far as DX/nWo goes, I still don't think it will happen. But we will see.

ron the dial 10-04-2006 06:58 PM

I think that it would be wise to keep Bischoff on TV and have him bring in the nWo. Vince would just let it happen because he wants to get rid of DX that badly. The idea sounds so good to me that I'm simply ignoring how terribly executed it might be.

Destor 10-04-2006 06:59 PM

OH WAIT. I FORGOT LUGER SPOILED IT.

Gerard 10-04-2006 07:25 PM

Be interesting to see but we all know what the outcome wil be, dx>nwo as vince isn't gonna let his ripoff play second fiddle to a wcw creation.

Kinda like watching the titanic movie, interesting but you know the ending way in advance. :-\

ron the dial 10-04-2006 07:36 PM

Hogan has creative control over his matches, right? If he's involved with the nWo there's no way that DX will go over. Or do HHH's family ties allow him to pull some strings and get the win for DX? Hmmmm...

Yeah, nWo wins.

Was a fake!

But is better than the real thing...

I don't think anyone has a clue what's gonna happen with this fued. Every other report says the opposite to the one before (in terms of whether it will happen)

One of the reasons that WWE has renewed some of the NWO trademarks could be to sale some of the classic NWO merchandise again. This would make sense due to the recent success in other classic merchandise sales.

Then you have what Luger said but I think he was just guessing in a feeble attempt to "one up" Bischoff.

McLegend 10-04-2006 08:20 PM

If I was Booker T I would so mad about that poster.

Sting Fan 10-04-2006 08:52 PM

Booker looks more like Juvi in that picture, its crap.

McLegend 10-04-2006 08:59 PM

He looks like Umaga. Now I am sure someone (Xero limit) will photoshop Umaga's head on to Booker's body

TerranRich 10-05-2006 11:14 AM

WWE has just changed the poster to Survivor Series, due to this recent spoiler:

Regarding the NWO in WCW, did it survive all the way till the day Shane O Mac showed up on Nitro, or was it dead long before that?

Savio 10-05-2006 05:25 PM

I think it came back and died 6 months before WCW did

The Naitch 10-05-2006 05:31 PM

lol silver and black

The end of the nWo in WCW

By mid 1999, the nWo had disappeared. In late 1999, the nWo came back for one more run as the silver and black (rather than black and white). This version was also refered to as "nWo 2000" and the word "new" in "new World order" logo was underlined to emphasise that this was a new version of the group. Consisting of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, the Harris twins (Don and Ron), and referee, Mark "Slick" Johnson. Several fitness models(Tylene Buck, April Hunter, Kim Kanner, Midajah O'Hearn and Pamela Paulshock) were brought in who would come to ringside with the group only to be ordered to the back by Jeff Jarrett. This nWo lasted into early 2000, but soon faded away, in great part due to the injury and retirement of Bret "The Hitman" Hart, the leader of the group. By this point, not only the nWo, but the entire WCW, had lapsed into what seemed to be an inevitable and permanent decline, constantly bettered by the WWF and relegated to a permanent second-place status, a situation many longtime WCW fans blamed in part on WCW management having stayed with the nWo storyline for entirely too long. The lead heel group in WCW was eventually replaced by The New Blood.

If it was really the poster, the graphics would be more crisp, there would be more detail, and we'd see some people on it.

Fignuts 10-05-2006 11:58 PM

Honestly, the nwo could work though. Have Bischoff lead them this time, and explain that vince didn't know to properly use them, and thats why they failed. But now that bischoff is back, they'll run roughshod over wwe. Have them infect wwe like they were originally supposed to, and even get a win on dx at ppv. And have it end with a tag team version of the elimination chamber, DX getting the win. After that fire the nwo so they cant hang around and ruin the angle by dragging it further.
