Official Cyber Sunday Thread

I need results people. Hook me up.

The Naitch 11-05-2006 07:52 PM

Hulk Hogan wins

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 07:58 PM

First time I've been on these boards for a TV/PPV show in MONTHS.... NeoC is back baby!

I'm looking forward to the Flair match most, just to see the Silly Squad lose the tag team belts.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 07:58 PM

Hope it's not first up, or that's my highlight for the night over with.

DominateR 11-05-2006 08:00 PM

I'm guessing they're doing the "trash" match first, which would be the Four Tag Team match.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:04 PM

Umaga's Samoan, therefore he has a harder than average skull.

I guess you are watching then? Keep me up if so. (rep promised)

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:05 PM

Oooh, I'm 50 posts away from hitting a grand and a half! Well, 49 now....

Only took me 7 years. Good stuff.

Indeed I am. Good ol' Sky Sports came through in the end and showed the event, and free at that. Kane won the vote to face Umaga, by nearly 50%. Sandman got more votes than Benoit, and Benoit looked pretty pissed off.

Same old power match these two have had before thus far. I'll keep you informed.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:10 PM

Have the WWE voters got no imagination? Why vote to see these two face each other AGAIN? Benoit or Sandman was a much more appealing match for Umaga.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:11 PM

What's more, neither Kane nor Umaga have anything to gain from this match. If Umaga wins again, it's just burying Kane, but if Kane wins.... ah well, it's moot now.

Umaga wins with the Samoan Spike.

Destor 11-05-2006 08:13 PM

they wanted Kane to get his revenge, makes sense...

Destor 11-05-2006 08:13 PM

I WAS HOPING FOR BENOIT THOUGH

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:15 PM

Backstage segment: Sharmell and Big Show. Sharmell trying to cut a deal with Show to work with King Booker. Show doesn't trust her, or Booker. Not interested in cutting a deal. Sharmell says Show will regret it.

Cryme Tyme heading out for the Four-way Tag Team Turmoil. And Lilian says it's one fall, so not elimination rules then, which sucks.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:16 PM

The Highlanders coming out to no reaction, which is a shame as these guys were looking like stars a couple of months back, until WWE just buried them. When the novelty wears off, Cryme Tyme will go the same way. Nobody has less heat than the crappy pairing of Murdoch/Cade though.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:17 PM

And the match type is...........

Texas Tornado match, with 50% of the votes.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:19 PM

I'm predicting this match will be a total mess, with Cryme Tyme taking the win (probably over the Highlanders, why not kill them off even more, huh?)

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:19 PM

Viscera looks like The World's Largest Scientist in his new white pyjamas.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:22 PM

I called it!

Cryme Tyme win, over the Highlanders.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:26 PM

Cryme Tyme steals Jerry Lawler's laptop, which leads us to DX backstage...

They are angry that Bischoff thinks they're not controversial. HBK reminds us that he's the guy who put Bret in the sharpshooter, and HHH is the guy who married "whatshername". HBK then superkicks about three backstage staffers and runs off in a fit of rage. HHH finds it all amusing.

Jeff Hardy heading out for the I-C title match now.

DominateR 11-05-2006 08:27 PM

I read that they took King's laptop, lol

He was probably trying to vote for the Women's Title Match as much as he could too...

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:28 PM

And Hardy is defending the gold against......

Carlito, with 62% of the votes.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:29 PM

Nitro only got 13%, ouch. Guess that K-Fed superstar rub paid off, eh Johnny?

DominateR 11-05-2006 08:31 PM

I'm betting he's going to cause a distraction to cost Carlito...:shifty:

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:32 PM

They shake hands before the match. Bless.

This match could really go either way, but I gotta go with Hardy to take the win. WWE doesn't seem as high on Carlito now as they did a few months ago. Still, I guess his winning the vote cements his popularity amongst the fans, so maybe the Cool Carribbean WILL get the belt tonight.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:35 PM

Even though these guys apparently only find out the results of the vote at the same time we do, surely they must have some idea before hand who will be facing who etc. I mean, it was fairly obvious that Carlito would be the more popular choice of those three potential opponents, plus WWE try to sway the votes anyway in the programming leading up to these interactive PPVs.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:38 PM

My God, this thread is very quiet, isn't it? I know I've been gone for a couple months, but still I remember PPV nights being pretty active on the boards.

The fans chanting BORING now. Well, you should have voted for Shelton then. You can't CHOOSE the match, and then call it "boring" you idiots.

DominateR 11-05-2006 08:42 PM

I hope that as a result of the "BORING" chants, Carlito won't pick up the win...

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:43 PM

Jeff Hardy wins it, with the Swanton.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:44 PM

My predictions are 3/3 so far. (I picked Umaga to win in my head but didn't get round to posting it because the match ended while I was still writing it.)

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:46 PM

And next up is DX vs Orton/Edge (I think... well, they're showing the catchup package anyways)

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:48 PM

Let's see if I can make it four out of four.

I'm picking Orton and Edge to win, UNLESS Vince is the ref, in which case I'm going with DX.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:53 PM

DX having a bit of "fun" with the crowd, but they just look like morons. DX, AND the crowd.

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:56 PM

Shawn Michaels recycling Billy Gunn's old spiel... how does that make him feel, you think?

DominateR 11-05-2006 08:57 PM

have they revealed the ref yet?

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:58 PM

The referee is.....

Eric Bitchtits, with 60% of the votes.

Tb1 11-05-2006 08:58 PM

Actually, it was quite funny. Stop being negative.

BISCHOFF!

NeanderCarl 11-05-2006 08:59 PM

Coach and Vince had 20% each.

Reckon Vince might get the message now that the fans really don't wanna see him on their screens anymore?

It must hurt that his old rival Bischoff had THREE TIMES the votes he did, though.

I did chuckle, but imagine watching that scene with people who don't watch wrestling. It did make the crowd look like a bunch of retards.

DominateR 11-05-2006 09:00 PM

Hoping to see Coach make an ass of himself...oh well
