The flying is fucking amazing.



...that said, this game doesn't really have a whole lot to offer. Best Superman game to date, but looking at the competition, that doesn't really mean shit.

If anything, it's worth the rental just to get really high and fly around (does he mean get really high in Metropolis, or get really high in general? I dunnooooo...), but definitely NOT worth $50.

Yeah, I got the demo and the flying was amazing, although the rest just seems like a poor mans Spider-man clone. Worth a rent, but nothing more.

They will never do a Superman game right. Somehow they did the Hulk:UD game right even though he's also one of those "I have no rea physicall weakneses" characters.

I loved Hulk:UD, wish I finished it instead of getting all annoyed at not being able to pass one of the missions :mad:

I got stuck ate either follwin a heli with something important on it or throw a gas pod in to the rivier.

Yeah, there are 2 or 3 missions like that, but it's all good.

I still have the game, despite basically completing everything.

Man, I was really hoping they'd do Superman a little justice this time. Still, at least it ain't Superman 64.

I played a little bit of the PS2 version at EB and hated it. The graphics suck ass, and I hated the control. Granted, I only played for a couple of minutes. The only cool thing was flying as high as I could and then fly as fast as I could and hit the ground and try to take out some civilians.

Krypton Men Can't Jump.

With the huge success of games like "Frogger" and "Super Mario Bros.," the executives who created Superman Returns felt the fans were all "jumped out."

This game is terrible. There is no other way to describe it.

Other great games didn't allow jumping. Goldeneye or Superman64 for example.

I'm pretty sure you can jump in Goldeneye...

Superman64 was hideous. As is this game. Also, why would you need to jump when you can fly?

I fly around to the themes of Reeves Era, Bruce Timm Animation, and Smallville music. I pick up cars and throw them in the sky, then rocket toward them to try and catch them. I fly up in the sky and look down at the city, then rocket back down in my best redo of the teaser from way back. As a game, it blows. But so did the first DBZ Budokai; bad fighting game, great DBZ game. This is a great Superman game, and I'll deal until the next one.
