They knew something was wrong, hence why Piper was removed from the storylines. |
Shit man. I really do hope he wins this fight.
Let's hope he invites the cancer onto Piper's Pit and cracks it over the head with a radiation-laced coconut. :y:
Hope hes ok.
:(
Ah fuck. Get well Hot Rod :'(
Fucking A. First Kobashi, now Piper. Fucking cancer man.
Good luck to Piper. Get well.

prayers go out to Piper
Read about this earlier, and still can't believe it.
Piper always has been one of my top favorite guys, and I wish him and his family all the best with this. Cancer is, unfortunately, a big thing with my family and friends - so I know what it is like to battle with it. He's surely a fighter though, and that definitely helps in times like these. All the best to him and his family, and we'll all be praying for them. |
This is awful.
Don't really have words, something like this always stops me in my steps. Piper is a real man and a fighter. He'll beat this. |
:O wow, wasn't expecting this, hope he does well, that guy was entertaining as hell.
This sucks. Hope he beats the disease.
I hope he's going to be ok :(
Jeez I hope he beats it. Cancer sucks. It's the ultimate heel

Damn, don't know what to say other than it shows you how easy it is to get. Hope he beats it though, good luck to him.
Get well Roddy, I wish him the best.
Piper is right up there for me, he's been my fave since I started to watch. |
Oh come on, He's the Hot Rod, he'll beat this thing like he should have beaten Hogan at the first wrestlemania.
Come on, man. This isn't how you're supposed to go out.
Liver poisoning, maybe. But lymphoma? |
God damn this sucks.
Prayers go out to him. :'( |

Damn....hopefully they caught it early enough.

You know, I've never been a huge fan of Piper. I've been a fan, just not a pop like crazy fan. But when he came back for this short stint with Flair, I loved it. It was kind of ironic because after DX won tonight with Flair on Raw, HHH and HBK both went up to Flair and told them they loved him and Flar mouthed it back and was near tears. You had to think this is what they were talking about :(

I second Jabba's statement. Lymphoma is a bitch. I pray he can kick this one's ass and then some.
He'll be fine. Technology today is amazing - he'll be back this time next year hosting another classic Piper's Pit.

This sucks.

Hey, if Mario Lemieux can beat Hodgkin's then so can Hot Rod.
I really hope it is Hodgkin's lymphoma. WWE.com says it is, but it's a little hard to believe their news lately.
weird how I found this out, not from here but from the news ticker on my local news station
I was seeing which schools would be closed for the day (snow) and BAM out of nowhere they say that Piper has cancer |

An Early Christmas for Roddy and Thanks to the Fans! Roddy has Wrestling and the Fans to thank for an early Christmas present this year. After returning to the WWE and the Fans voting him in on Cyber Sunday to wrestle, Ric Flair and Rowdy Roddy Piper became the World Tag Team Champions. Roddy then continued on tour with the WWE in the UK. While there he suffered a back injury and had to leave the tour early, resulting in emergency back surgery upon arrival home in Portland, Oregon. While performing the surgery, the surgeon took a biospy of a suspicious lymphnode. While Roddy has been recovering from the surgery on his back he has been waiting and undergoing further tests regarding the biopsy. Initial findings were that he has lymphoma cancer, (non-hodgkins). Today he got final results from all the tests and knows that he has low grade lymphoma cancer in one maybe two marble size areas near each other, behind his stomache. Due to the back surgery and the Doctor noticing the cancer it has been caught at an early stage. Roddy will undergo 4 weeks of radiation treatment. Roddy has always stated that his career in wrestling and his success has been given to him by the FANS. Now again with this sequence of events, going back to the WWE, The FANS voting him to wrestle, the injury to his back, resulting in the Doctor finding his cancer early. Has again strengthened his feelings that Wrestling and the Fans have had a positive outcome in his success not only in his career but in his life! |
I hope his recovery will be quick and complete.
Well thank the gods he's going to be fine.
