Anybody?

I've been trying to broaden my horizons and plus it's incredibly relaxing so I've been getting into jazz recently. I've been listening to a lot of Cannonball Adderly and Bill Evans. I've checked out a bit of Thelonious Monk too which is pretty good.

Jazz is the kinda thing that I'd love to get into but just...Well you know what I mean, where the fuck do you start?

When I was in Krakow in 2004 I went to a few jazz bars there and it was awesome, sometimes its a little hectic but when it all comes together, man, some talented motherfuckin musicians

Kind of Blue is a good start

I love Monk. The stuff he does can sound infinitely complex or amaznigly simple at any given time.

What kind of Jazz you looking for, Supreme? Specific instruments you like in the mix? I'm looking at the Coltrane collection I have up on my shelf, which I'd rather heavily recommend.

ct, if you want to get started, you might want to check out the Burns Jazz collection ttuff. It's a pretty nice collection (Or set of collections).

The first two Regina Spektor albums are kiinda jazzy.

Krakow is freaking amazing, party central that place! Spent a few days there when I was in Poland a couple of years back. Loved it.

I've always been high on stuff heavy in any sax besides soprano. Piano's a good one too. I guess a Dave Brubeck-ish kind of vibe.

I have the session Monk and Coltrane recorded together which I think is incredible.

BC is right, bitches brew is incredible. i'm a fan of coltrane too. cant really go wring with miles davies & dizzy gillespie

charlie parker, duke ellington and louis armstrong too. i can never remember any jazz people cause i'm not super huge into it or anything but it's awesome every now and then when all other music sucks.

oh, and george benson did some cool jazzy stuff before he went all pop/soul/rnb whatever the fuck it is he did. check out affirmation.
