Persona Preference Poll: Undertaker
I was wondering which persona of a wrestler is your favorite not necessarily taking matches into account but based more on attitude and etc. I prefer the American Badass persona.
|
Personally I thought his best character was just before he made the Ministry, while he was feuding with Kane.

Phenom, with the grey on purple. It looked hilariously stupid, but he was so badass.

i loved phenom undertaker when he first debut. he had 3 moves, top rope arm wrench, choke, tombstone.
|
what about the phantom of the opera undertaker? Talk about lame.
|
What about Imitation Taker, or I demand respect, red devil, big evil Undertaker?

IT WAS REAL TO ME DAMMIT.
|
Ministry no doubt.
|
Taker was clearly at the top of his game in 1997 when he held the then WWF Championship.
|
Eh, I think Taker's character was really embelished in 1998 when he went a bit more gothic, got the new theme and became a major player on a level that better fit "attitude". He ditched the purple and became this lord of darkness that would soon evolve into the ministry taker, which was the second best persona. I always liked how he had an edgy/godly aura in 98-99 as opposed to the comic book character traits he had before.

Voted for American badass in place of booger red

Bring back TakerLover :(
*GONG* |
Bountry Hunter number two in Hulk Hogan's instant classic "Suburban Commando" where he jobs to Hogan via a toilet. Hilarity ensues.

Ministry of Darkness Taker
During that era he was just a leader that had his followers do his bidding and when time came he'd get off his throne and do somethin... and it was the darkest that the Taker has been. That and his entrance theme was real good. The timing was just right too. |
i demand respect, big evil red devil booger red was the best. much more versitile (in a booking sense) than any of the other personas.
Lord of Darkness was awesome, but that couldnt last. i think he was at his best right before the ministry, around 1998. Purple Glove was the worst. American badass was also rather scetchy. i dont really watch wrestling anymore, but i have seen a very few bits and peices from a couple of Smackdowns in the last couple months or so. and what i have seen was Taker tagging up with Kane. it gave me the douche chills. shit like them both sitting up simotaneously or simotaneous big boots and choke slams. really embarassing to watch even if no one else is in the room. i couldnt even look in a mirror for five days after seeing it. |
Why do posters on this forum feel the need to sound like shitty internet reporters.
|
Huh?
|
American Badass always did it for me.
|
Ministry was my favorite.
|
They were all good though I picked Ministry. When he first debuted he was scary (Shut up it's still real to me damnit). When Jake the Snake slammed the casket on his hand was pure genius. Purple gloved taker was kind of gay as the dead man couldn't really be a face. Minstry was great as stated. I did actually enjoy American Badass. Limp Bizkit taker was gay as it was the end of American Badass and had no direction. Then he had a couple gay ones where he didnt' really do anything. Now he's kinda cool as a throwback but it'll get gay fast, faster if I actually watched smackdown. All in all, I said gay a lot in this post.
