WrestleMania Reversal Night

SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long has confirmed that next week on Raw, it will be WrestleMania reversal night. John Cena and Shawn Michaels, will face opponents from their partner’s WrestleMania past. The Champ will meet Chris Benoit, who faced HBK at WrestleMania XX. Shawn Michaels will take on JBL, who met John Cena at WrestleMania 21.

So what do you guys think of this. I got pretty excited when I saw this announced on Raw. I didn't think I would see JBL back in action so soon. If I see a Clothesline from Hell and a Crippler Crossface with an RKO thrown in, all on the same night, I think I'd be pretty happy for the rest of that week.

I don't understand how its a 'reversal night' though..what do they mean by that? I remember they did this last year to.

I predict Benoit wins the match, cleanly.

Cause they're each fighting opponents the other guy has fought before at a Mania event. So esentially, reversing prior opponents.

They are facing someone the other has faced at Mania before.

HBK wrestled Benoit at WM 20 and Cena wrestled JBL at WM 21.

So as you can you see they are Reversing their WM opponents hence the name reversal night.

my prediction is that both cena and hbk will cleanly go over benoit/jbl to continue building their respective momentums leading into WM.

IT COULD BE DECENT...but we HAVE TO KNOW!

I really don't get this. I mean I understand the concept, just not the point.

JBL said on SD that he'd have a surprise up his sleeve, so I'm guessing HBK faces Farooq or something. :lol:

MVP will make the Cena/Benoit match a No Contest.

Let's face it, Cena DEFINETLY won't job to Benoit. But with Benoit not doing much lately, I'm sure they at least wanna put him over somehow for his 'Mania match...

JBL wont be in the match...it has already been said that he is in no shape to wrestle...Although he still wants to get back in the ring he is still suffering from his back injury. They have found something that might help JBL get back in the ring but untill then I really dont expect him in their anytime in the next year.

Only reason it's JBL is because everyone else Cena has Wrestled at a mania is no longer around:

Mania XX: Big Show
Mania XX1: JBL
Mania XX2: Triple H

You'd think they'd scrap the concept then. But no.

Yeah, I have been wondering what his surprise will be. I'd LOL if it were Orlando Jordan back for one night only. I want to make a Doug Basham reference here, but I am afraid I'll get ribbed. Either way, Shawn Michaels wins his match without too much trouble.

John Cena vs. Chris Benoit intrigues me. Rammsteinmad hit the nail on the head, though. When picturing the match on RAW, I saw MVP getting involved and giving Benoit the disqualification victory. I think they will have every WrestleMania program spill onto Monday Night RAW, eventually. I just want to see Chris Benoit lifted from the Crippler Crossface position to an F-U position, only when he's slammed over by Cena, he holds onto Cena's arm, twists, and applies another Crippler Crossface. I'd mark out like a little bitch. Also, Benoit could counter the Killswitch and Five Knuckle Shuffle into Crossfaces as well. I really hope that Cena/Benoit is a sweet match.

Yeah I was under the impression that JBL's return won't be for quite some time, so very likely there will be some sort of swervity going on.
Or perhaps we'll finally get a heel turn with JBL ready to face Cena, and then suddenly in comes HBK with Sweet Chin Music.
It would be good at least to see how the crowd reacts to JBL being in the ring again.

If Shawn Michaels has a career ending injury or retires after 23 then you know theres a curse of John Cena

JBL on Raw tonight then. I never thought I'd see the day again.

If he's not wrassling, at least give us a heel promo John. Or at least some John Cleese stepping.

I think JBL will get Khali to wrestle HBK, him or Umaga.

It makes enough sense for WWE.

I thought it was gonnaa be something cool. Cena would act white, Michaels would act straight, and JBL would wear a dress.
