CM Punk Wins MiTB...
I was thinking about this as I was waking up and I had to write it down somewhere. First of all let's filter out Raw and Smackdown and focus only on ECW. I only want you guys to focus on ECW when you respond to the following idea:
Clear your mind before you go on. Here's the premise. CM Punk wins the Money in the Bank match with help from the New Breed. The outcome is out of the blue as people predict Kennedy or Edge winning with Orton as a third option but of course the popular vote is Jeff Hardy. People will kind of cheer but mostly be surprised and then boo because of how CM Punk wins. In the end we discover that CM Punk went to Elijah and got the New Breed to help him. This will be good heat for him to turn heel.
Fast forward to the end of the Lashley/Umaga match. Vince has hyped them up to be monsters so let's say they pretty much destroyed each other but Lashley ends up winning. McMahon tries to run but Lashley catches him and clotheslines him knocking him out for a bit then drags him to the chair. Trump shaves a barely conscious McMahon who soon realizes where he's at and squirms and sobs like Eugene. Everyone laughs and cheers, etc.
A little later on Vince comes out in a cowboy hat or something as he feels embarrassed but he still looks ridiculous. At this point Vince is furious and irate. He calls Lashley out to the ring, actually he demands it. A tired but smiling Lashley comes out with the fans cheering him on. Vince wants to get Lashley back and has a surprise in store for him. Cue CM Punk. Vince says Lashley will defend his ECW title right now and it will be under Extreme rules! CM Punk cashes in the briefcase and the match begins.
Let's be real. At this point in their careers, it's obvious Lashley will beat Punk even after going through the previous match but here's the twist. As Lashley has the upperhand, Vince gets Punk's new friends to come out and help him but wait. The ECW Originals come out and take care of the New Breed. Now what Vince? Vince calls out the monster Snitsky. In Lashley's current condition not even he can fight off Snitsky. Snitsky boot to the face then CM Punk covers Lashley and 1...2... only a 2 count. The crowd roars with hope. CM does the Go2Sleep on Lashley, if he can lift him up, and covers him. 1...2...3 Now we have your new ECW champion, CM Punk!!
On the following ECW Lashley invokes his rematch clause with CM Punk. Vince accepts and it will be an Extreme rules match. I know what you're thinking, Lashley will dominate punk and will win...but Vince is still mad and Punk is with the New Breed now. New Breed comes out to turn the the tide but again the Originals come to the rescue. Once again Snitsky pops up to help CM Punk and he retains the ECW title.
So what are your guy's thoughts on this? It's just something that's been brewing in my mind since ECW last night and this will bring more life to the New Breed/ECW feud. I think CM Punk is more suited to be a heel. Punk as the leader of the New Breed with Snitsky as the weapon and with the backing of Vince McMahon vs the ECW Originals with Captain Lashley. It doesn't look good for the ECW Originals.
