Die, Lashley, Die
Man, I hate Lashley. He has no concept of ring psychology, and his matches are just way to simple. And it confuses me because he comes from a wrestling back ground. I mean last night he was getting his ass handed to him for a good 5 minutes by Kennedy and Orton, then out of no where I just drops them through 2 tables. His matches are so fucking anti-climatic.
I really hope Umaga goes over him. It would be kinda sweet if they brough in a few more Samonians and had a stable. |
Does the title of this thread mean "The Lashley, The"?

That match could have been gold but Lashley fux'd it up. I thought it was going to be good and the Taker vs Booker/Finlay was going to be bad but the opposite happened. It was just Lashley beating down on Kennedy and Orton most of the time except for a few moments here and there.

For probably the first time ever, I'm with BDC on this one. I hate Lashley.
|
Lashley blows major ass. I have no idea why Lance Storm was so big on him...
|
I will say he can hit a crisp suplex now and then, and has a few moves he can pull off. With that said, he has absolutely no charisma and terrible ring psychology. Every single one of his matches he gets beat down a while and then goes on this brief rampage of destruction and annihilates his opponents.
|
I don't like Umaga either but at this point I'd much rather see him go over.
|
Lashley does have charisma. It really oozes out of him at times. Some of the simple stuff he does has nearly caused me to mark out, which is an achievement to say the least. He should really be on SmackDown! working mid-card matches, though.
His placement is really doing more harm than good to him, at present. |

I reject the notion that he has charisma, however.
|
The charisma he has is the ass-kicking kind. Whenever he opens his mouth, it tends to disappear for periods of time. When he was on SmackDown! it was more noticeable, because the WWE wasn't working against it. His matches with Finlay and King Booker were really quite good.
The WWE should have left Heyman in charge of ECW and let him turn Lashley heel. Bobby Lashley vs. Rob Van Dam for the ECW World Championship at WrestleMania 23 would have been awesome. |
He has the ass-kicking look but not to match his ridiculous push.

Anyway, Lashley comes from a legit wrestling background. Saying that this would give you a sense of ring presence is like saying that pro wrestlers should understand Kazushi (SP). Psychology, showmanship, etc., are not functions of ameteur wrestling, anymore than taking someone's center is a function of pro wrestling. You might pick it up, but it's sure as fuck not a part of the actual show. I think he was pushed too soon, and that we would benefit from him having more schooling, butthe lack of psychology is jardly shocking. |
Has he not paid his dues enough?
|
I mean being a big man isn't enough?
|
I was shocked too.
|
He's the man, and has all the potential to be huge, but they're blowing their load wayyyyyyy too early.
|
Yeah, this isn't even normal premature ejaculation.
This is like blowing your load on the way to the store to buy condoms. |
Lashley needs more matches with more established veterans. They were doing well for a while with him and Finlay, but he still needs a little bit more. He's got presence, but his matches aren't exciting. He needs a program with Undertaker or Flair.
|
He needs a program with the unemployment line.

Bobby Lashley is charismatic. Hell, he was charismatic enough to brainwash Vince into thinking he deserves the monster push he's getting (which is completely unjustified, by the way). The guy was really quite enjoyable in his SmackDown! days, squashing guys like Simon Dean, and working matches with Finlay. |

Haha, it's true. I hate to admit it, but it is.
|
But I seriously like Lashley. He's just not skilled enough to be where he is, even though he could be in a couple of years. He's got ALL the tools, I think.
