Brock/Goldberg, in all its horror, wasn't the worst Wrestlemania match. Perhaps the most dissapointing, but it's not the worst.

Hogan/Warrior isn't overrated, because its rating isn't based on anything other than the sheer story telling and crowd involvement, and the markness of moments that it was. Those credits to the match are not arguable. Nobody rates it an amazing "match" really

The Iron Man match..hmmm. For years I felt this was the best, but man there's a handful of matches I'd like to say overall are better than this. The fact that they went an hour without a fall is amazing, but I'm not sure if it's truly the best.

Best: Austin/Bret Hart WM13
Worst: Playboy Evening Gown match, who knows, any shit like that...
Overrated: I'm not sure, WM is one event where not too much is overrated if its not worthy of it.
Underrated: Jericho/Angle/Benoit European and IC title match
Shane McMahon vs Xpac
Jericho vs Shawn Michaels, though it often gets credit now.
Brock vs Kurt Angle, seems to be forgotten and overshadowed by the one botch.

Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper

Best: Austin/Hart Wrestlemania 13 (It is my favorite match of all time), Benoit vs. HHH vs. HBK Wrestlemania 20, Bret vs. Owen, austin/Rock Wrestlemania X7, Foley/Edge

Worst: Big Show vs. Akebono

Overrated: Iron Man Match

Underrated: Hogan vs. Slaughter, Jericho vs. Christian, Hogan vs. Warrior, Savage vs. Flair, LT vs. Bigelow (on the celebrity match scale, it is Savage and Steamboat. Plus, LT was not too bad in this match), Undertaker vs. Kane.

I just wanan say, if you truly think the warrior/hogan match was over rated, the internet has killed you more then i could have ever imagined. for its time that was amazing story telling, and ring psychology cause its all they had at the time. Not the greatest match, but far from over rated IMO.

Warrior? Psychology? uhhhhh.....

Best: HBK v Angle

Worst: Steve Austin v Scott Hall Seemed kinda phoned in, yeah, let's just drop a bunch of stunners and go home

Underrated: Undertaker v Orton

Overrated: Hogan v Warrior I think so many people get caught up the fact that it was 2 huge faces against each other and not that the match was mediocre at best

(Personal choice here, I am in no way implying this should be regarded as the best match ever...it's just...well...personal choice.)

Worst: Hulk Hogan vs. Yokozuna - WrestleMania IX
(if that doesn't count...which let's be fair it was barely a match...)

Overrated: Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart - WrestleMania X

Worst: JBL VS John Cena, WM21
Over-rated: Bret Hart VS Stone Cold , WM13
Under-rated: Randy Orton VS The Undertaker, WM22

Best: Hogan vs Savage ( Savage got a drop toe hold out of Hogan. That means something. )
Worst: Hogan vs Warrior ( it was bad. The match was really horrible. I specifically loved the part where Warrior bounced off the rope 3 times waiting for Hogan to get up so he can clothesline him )
Overrated-Jericho vs HBK
Underrated- Anything inolving Adrian Adonis

JBL vs John Cena, though a dissapointing and lame main event, was nowhere near the worst match in wrestlemania history.
And the day Bret Hart vs Stone Cold is overrated...This match is Ric Flair and Bret's favorite wrestlemania match, among other smarts and marks alike.

At the time, you sit there and tell me there was someone like kurt angel or chris beniot that had amazing in ring psychology, outside of jake and maybe a few others, there werent. the meaning of ring psychology at the time was abit more diffrent then it is now. they told story in that ring, it was 2 faces in the ring and they made it work through in ring psychology. maybe not the greatest, but it was the first and only time (maybe this years mania) that they pulled off two faces in the main event.

Perhaps since he might not think to highly of this match, and, as you said, so many others claim it to be the best...uh...maybe that's overrated in his book...uh...just a thought...:shifty:

Basically, I didn't watch wrestling when that match took place (i lost interest in wrestling in 1995, just b4 it got good). I actually only saw that match for the first time about 3 months ago, but having already seen clips of it and not knowing the story behind the match and the relevant positions of the two wrestlers at the time (I beleive Austin was yet to hold the world title right?), it just seemed like any old match to me.

As for JBL VS John Cena, I see it as the worst match because it was a championship match, and championship matches should be better than that

Would just like to take this moment to point out how HBK being dubbed Mr. WrestleMania is fitting due to his awesomeness and ability to put out the best match on the card every Mania .

He has had the best match of the night in just about every wrestlemania he's participated in since 10

The last 40 minute of the Iron Man match are the best ever, but the plodding slow boring first 20 minutes makes me unable to call it the best ever.

XI - WWE Title match with Diesel...one of Michaels' least flashy Mania matches ever, and yet still best match of the night... :y:

XII - Iron Man match with Hart...considered by some the best match of all time. :y:

XIV - WWE Title match with Austin...person choice for best Mania match ever. :y:

XV - Random promo on McMahon...still awesome. :yes:

2000 - Sat at home. :'(

XX - World Title match with Benoit & HHH...fairly undisputed as match of the night. :y:
