In Honor of the Four Horsemen DVD coming out today...

Everyone share their favorite Four Horsemen memories and moments. I can't wait to watch this DVD by the way.

One of my favorite moments involving the Horsemen was when Ric Flair turned on Sting on Halloween Havoc 1995 and him, Arn and Pillman joined forces. Benoit would later be added to complete the unit.

I also loved when Ole bitched out Sting when Sting was a Horsemen and then him, Flair and I think it was Arn beat the snot out of Sting and kicked his ass out of the group.

FourFifty 04-10-2007 12:32 PM

When The Four Horsemen broke Dusty Rhode's ankle after Dusty saved Flair's ass in a cage.

Rammsteinmad 04-10-2007 12:42 PM

A bit more modern than what's most popular, but two matches from 1999 stand out:

Uncensored 1999: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenco VS Barry Windham & Curt Henning

Spring Stampede 1999: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenco VS Perry Saturn & Raven

When Flair jobbed to Dusty Rhodes, screw Ric Flair and anyone who has been led to beleive that hes the greatest wrestler to ever grace the squared circle.

SammyG 04-10-2007 12:47 PM

the nWo skit

KingofOldSchool 04-10-2007 12:49 PM

I actually liked the whole riff between Ole and the Horsemen.

Londoner 04-10-2007 12:50 PM

Bit off topic, but i wish i was watching wrestling when stables like thefour horsemen were around. Really missed out.

Londoner 04-10-2007 12:52 PM

Haha, made a typo in my original post and typed the wrong stable name, fuck my mind is not working.

KayfabeMan 04-10-2007 01:04 PM

Brian Pillman and the Horsemen in the 1990s.

And when the 4H re-united and such, with Flair, Mongo, Benoit, Arn and Dean all in their suits and shit. Great moments involving the 4H. I loved all of the 4H stuff, not just the classic period.

Someone let me know if the DVD is worth getting.

KayfabeMan 04-10-2007 01:05 PM

Also, unless I haven't seen the correct picture of it, sad that they didn't go with the original members on the box cover.

Londoner 04-10-2007 01:22 PM

Is it coming out today in the Uk aswell btw?

Loose Cannon 04-10-2007 01:23 PM

IMO they went with the greatest team on the cover.

BigDaddyCool 04-10-2007 01:30 PM

Never saw any of the Horsemen. Plus nWo and DX are way better.

SammyG 04-10-2007 01:45 PM

You can't say that if you haven't watched any Horsemen stuff. But I do agree.

Well considering they were only around for around 7 months or so, never.

IC Champion 04-10-2007 07:48 PM

I didn't watch wcw before the nwo, so I didn't see them in their prime. However I am a HUGE malenko mark, so him joining was easily my favorite moment that I've seen.

IC Champion 04-10-2007 09:11 PM

Ric Flair is an over-rated "routine-man" whos match would consists of a few dozen chops accompanied with a WOOOO, with a strut or two, then after no selling a serious of move would be hit in the face a few times he would fall onto his face, a few moments later he would be sent into the turn buckle flipping upside down, miracuosly landing on his feet on the apron each time, and then for a little comic relief would groggly make his way to the other corner takin his time to climb corner only to be thrown off on to the mat everytime.
I guess people liked him cause they knew exactly what they would get when they bought a ticket.

The One 04-10-2007 09:15 PM

Good god, if only I could reach through a computer screne and pimp slap you...

Fignuts 04-10-2007 09:22 PM

IC. did you just copy and paste that from Bret Hart's website?

IC Champion 04-10-2007 09:26 PM

Nope, I've seen Ric Flair wrestle a couple times.

KingofOldSchool 04-10-2007 09:35 PM

Anything you say is invalid.

Destor 04-10-2007 09:36 PM

Look at that red dot.

This FLair country here boy. Mmhm.

Jeritron 04-11-2007 12:26 AM

Can't wait for this DVD. Marked out for JR's comment that should be an education to uneducated fans like you Instant Classic.
"Without Four Horsemen you wouldn't have your nWo and DX.Period."

Sure you can love more modern things and styles, and even recognize that things have advanced, but know what was the goods then and still, and know greatness when you see it.

Jeritron 04-11-2007 12:34 AM

Nobody cuts me off in my town. Just ask Tully, just ask Barry, just ask Arn.

I gotta buy this asap. Anyone have a match listing from it? I saw it a while back but I forget. Very interested in the documentary and some things that are said. The tidbit previewed of Bischoff regretting some of his moves looks interesting. I'd like to see what some of the young guys say. Plus I always love to see the direction and portrayal of WWE documentaries. Most of the time they're very well done.

I read that they interviewed just about everyone except for Ole Anderson who didn't participate in the dvd. Does this mean that they actually interviewed Luger? I'd assume not.

Oh, your point is totally valid. You've seen Ric Flair, who has been in the ring longer than most of us have been alive, wrestle a couple of times. Yep, you have a good point there. Wonderful! Now keeping that in mind....

SHUT UP YOU IGNORANT ASS!!!
(with all due respect to whomever I stole that from)

Lara Emily 04-11-2007 03:04 AM

The return in 98 was amazing. The slight riff between Benoit and Arn during Benoit's feud with Sullivan was quite well played as well.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, isn't there heat between nWo Kliq and Flair?

The One 04-11-2007 12:28 PM

Yes America kicks ass...

And really, the nWo parody of the Horsemen only got Arn upset, besides, Michaels and Hunter are both very pro-Flair...and more than either of those facts, I was refering more to TPWW's Kliq....4 LYFE!

Interesting.

Also for those of you who are dumb, I'm saying America is Flair country. Also, most of Canada is too. Fuck it, North America is now and forever going to be call Flair Content.

Oh, and Japan is Flair Island.
