Raw Draft Ratings

Nielsen Media lists the ratings of Raw from the Draft as 3.7, 3.4, and 2.6.

This is up .3-.4 from the prior week, so not bad. :y:

Also, Kill sascha.

I would like to take this opportunity to advocate that I be allowed to masturbate in public buildings.

Wow, I didnt realize how low there ratings have actually been, I figured RAW was doin about 4.0's each week.

They are, according to the Dirt Sheets. But they've been mostly doing the 3.0 area, with a few dips below and a few above. Keep in mind that the night after Edge's championsip win (First time), they boasted about ratings in the low 4s as a record.

Certnily an acheivement in the current Era.

But certainly thought that they were gettin atleast 3.7 and 3.8's each week.

They haven't been up around 3.7 since Mania, and before the pre-Mania hype, they weren't there, either. People tuned in for Austin/Trump/Whatever, but they didn't stay.

IC Champion 06-20-2007 06:19 PM

Which is a sure sign that for the most part, outside of there core audiance they tunes in each week, no body gives a fuck.

With the exception of a slight boost which will always happen near Mania. Every year, the ratings have been getting lower. They spike at Mania, no matter who's there, but they've dipped into the 2.xes several times of late, often with no competition.

This is why WWE's been under pressure from USA to come up with bigger things for Raw, and the whole reason the draft RAPED the other rosters.

That's not going to help in the long run, not even in the short, people dont care whos where, or who's champion of which show, and their not going to as long as the product they produce continues to be lackluster and boring, and their other shows will suffer in the end.

WWE's doesn't need to move the more popular wrestlers to RAW or Smackdown to gain ratings, its not gonna work, their might be a spike for the first couple shows, maybe and then after that its back to the same rating as before that. Until they change how they run their show, and how they book them, it's going to continue much the same, and wrestling fans are going to keep on caring less and less over time.

Also, having 3 brands and running and booking them pretty much all the same way doesn't help matters any. Dont be afraid to try something different, something new and original.

Like with ECW, I always thought they should have their own tour instead of being Smackdown's bitch. They could hold events in smaller venues, maybe a state over or another city from Smackdown to help keep traveling costs down. Or have them do shows in old ECW territories and house shows. Establish them on their own instead of just as WWE. I know it would be hard at first maybe, but it could work, and is really the only ECW wouuld get over as a whole.
